Funny enough, Funko Sodas have grown on me this year so I’m starting to collect a lot of the ones I missed out on. I like that the chase variant wasn’t immediately apparent, and I also feel like I can enjoy the Soda figure more compared to Funko Pops, especially because I don’t care too much about the can condition unlike the Funko Pop box which I prefer to protect and keep unopened. As far as the Terrifier Soda chase sticker on the outside goes, I’m not sure how I feel about it yet…mainly because I ordered from Hot Topic online and was lucky enough to get the chase 😅. I feel like having the sticker on the outside prevents people from going to stores and opening up every single can to find a chase and leaving the opened commons on the store floor which is tacky. Moving forward, I do hope Funko continues to keep Sodas alive but only in limited editions. Great video guys!
the first 3L soda was Iron Giant from Funkon, pretty sure. Thanks for the video, good information. I still sit on the "funko is moving toward profit rather than fun" wagon. Eliminate the social media stuff, that's not their lane. That was Mike's lane. The investors want money, not friends. I could be totally wrong but ..... we'll see.
Great show guys! I only buy sodas when there are 5 to 8 bucks! I also buy the 3 liter on discount, My problem with the 4 liters lol! "K-Dog " lol is opening the freaking things! You need a bazooka to open them! Keep it going guys!
From what I heard hot topic asked for stickers bc everyone opens the sodas and leaves them on the shelf. It was a one off idea. Not a new normal. And terriers sold out everywhere. Commons and chases.
opening and not knowing right away is/was the best part, my son getting his first chase soda, the sonic chase, i'll always remember his face when he got it.
Sodas never really took off in the U.K I have a few no chases, they retailed from day one at £15.00 far too expensive I cant remember the last one I saw in a shop always got opened same everywhere I guess, I mainly buy pops when reduced now as nearly all get reduced, i love collecting but i have reached saturation point no room, so i am very picky the last ones to get me excited were the Wizard of Oz set, nothing sells on ebay either glad in some ways values have come down makes them more collectable, love the Channel watch all the sports stuff but know nothing abou it that's how entertaining you two are.😄
Wasn’t the iron giant the first 3L? I loved sodas wholeheartedly, but I got fed up when crap started being hot topic exclusives. Couldn’t finish my lotr sodas because I couldn’t find a Legolas or Galadriel anywhere. Pisses me off every time I walk by that set now lol.
I think they did chase sticker on the outside because people would open up all the cans to find the chase I guess maybe retail stores are complaining because now they are stuck with open commons
I only recently started looking at sodas and picked up the green lantern Hal Jordon and the Orange Lantern, I was really hoping they made the rest of the lanterns
I think sodas are starting to be appreciated more. I've liked them from the beginning just cause the way they display is fun and you dont feel too pressured by opening them from a maintaining value perspective.
I went down the darkside of collecting Star Wars Funko Sodas....it's Christopher's fault from Seriously Star Wars and co-host on the Star Wars Pocpast! He got me into them...I still have all of mine unopened. Eventually I'll find time to open them & figure out how to display them. I also thought Funko Soda may be going away....there hasn't been any new Star Wars Sodas in some time.
I don't like sodas much, design of figures is not nice IMHO. However i have few sets i like (common & chase) like Dick Dastardy, Mutters, Felix the cat, Terrifier, Crash Bandicoot and Steamboat Mickey. Stickers outside is stupid, but i managed to get chase terrifier in can which didn't have Chase sticker outside.
I kinda like the sticker on the can but those Terrifier sodas are sold out even the common’s because the movie is hype right now And I do have one of those sodas I wish I had the Chase but I’m glad I have one of themat least.
I’ve seen the movie but will need to check out the show! If you haven’t watched it already, I recommend a video here on TH-cam that tries to connect the Snowpiercer movie to Willy Wonka
Putting Chase stickers on sodas are stupid. Your only helping scalpers find the chases faster and ruining the experience more for the people who actually want them.
I’ll only collect a soda that I really like. (Chase) Otherwise nope. I did order a box of rewind godfathers. I’m big godfather fan, that’s only reason I bought a rewind. The whole box was chase.
Soda's are dead! Further proof they arent even listed on Funko's app anymore, ( even if the app is trash) besides the 3 Liters. Glad I didnt get into those! FPP!

When the last con soda were released, I heard on another TH-camr video that Funko was changing their manufacturer.

With the chase sticker they're going to sit on 4 out of 6 cans per soda case people might get 1 of each when possible
