Actual Description
Not your average wet suit "review" actual cold water use / testing.
Some details and testing my new wetsuit in the cold November waters @ Pine Coulee Reservoir in Alberta Canada.
thank you for doing this video. you didnt just talk, but also demonstrated it in real time. huge help to a first time jet ski buyer heading into the winter!
Thanks for the comment ! It's now 2 years later and I have no regrets about investing in a good wetsuit ! It is so worth it.
Nice 👍🏻 ripping it up in the cold 🥶 waters enjoying the day. Wish O’Neill still made their PCW Impact Wetsuits for jet-skiing!
Hell yeah ! That was so much fun. Great footage, I just wish I was better at editing, haha. I wasn't aware that they ever made a jetski specific wetsuit ... cool.
What mount and pole are you using?
I assume you're talking about my camera mount ? I built one myself and had planned on making a few extra to sell, but I have become really busy with other projects.
Yes camera mount. Looks like it works great. Thx
@@snipervision1 Yeah, I've made 3 different versions now trying to perfect it. I absolutely love it.
Hi Joel how's it going, love the discription of the new wetsuit, and love the test ride, there is no snow in the back ground, has it all melted cheers mate
I'm doing well, Adrian ! I figured you'd like this. Most of the snow has melted and run into the water and made it much colder as a result, haha.
In tomorrows video I find a little snow while talking and make a snowball and toss it into the water, haha. We are currently having a major snow storm with 20-40 cm of snow and 80 km/h winds.
This is epic Joel! Glad your still out there riding. Seems your ride is operating good too from what I can tell. I just spent some $$ to do some repairs on my ski and was told to use Lord Fuser 100EZ, Lord applicator gun and heavy fiberglass cloth as its SMC and I think yours is too if your thinking of doing any major hull repairs. Cheers buddy and stay Wild my friend.
Hey you ... haha... I'll keep riding as late into the season as I can.
As for the ski running well, it has been. I think the last issue that I had with it was the broken exhaust coupler a few weeks ago. With that being said... wait for tomorrows video ... it will be ending with a question mark, haha.
For the 100EZ that you mentioned. I did have to re-do some repairs on my hull over the past winter and did a lot of research. I found that product came highly recommended ... However ... There is a post on PWCtoday.com where a guy tests polyester, epoxy and 100EZ on SMC and the epoxy is a clear winner. The 100EZ is almost as strong, but more $ and harder to work with if you are trying to do detailed repairs. Apparently it is really good for attaching brackets, mounts etc.
I wonder how the film would look if you had a gimble on the camera..... So it would fallow you, but stay flat when you are leaned over. I think I saw something like that on a dirt bike and it looked cool like a video game.
Yeah, I thought about that. The Hero 9 can actually do that internally. They call it horizon levelling. I may try it some time, but I find that it takes away from the realness of the footage. I could also do it mechanically, but that adds more weight and that's not idea.
i came here for the spills on the x2
Haha... only a few of those in this video. Usually a whole lot more. When it gets really cold, I am more motivated not to crash though, haha.
