Well, those numbers presented are correct, just check yourself other sources if you don't believe this one. It used to be the 8th most visited country in the world , now it's the third most visited country in the world.

@@JorgeClaverook i understood but by the profile name i guess he/she is a mexican.He/she must have been in a state of shock,probably because that person did not expect mexico to be a tourism powerhouse.But yes number of visitors is not a great method according to me.But the revenue collected should be the method of comparision.Let me give u an example Russia got more than twice the visitors(27 m) than India(11 m) but still collected less than 1/3rd the revenue of India from tourist money (27.365 billion usd for India and 8.945 billion usd for Russia).Likewise both mexico and turkey had more than 4 times the visitors than India in 2019 but ended up with lesser tourist revenue than India.Look i am not comparing or trying to imply that my nation is superior than your nation in tourism sector all i am saying is the revenue collected should be a better parameter of comparision.All i end up seeing on websites is the number of visitors,not the revenue generated,which is what the tourism sector is for,right?Likewise croatia had roughly the same number of tourists as us but the revenue generated was far less.The basis of comparision should be the revenue generated as thats what torism is for in the end and not the number of visitors just see this as a reference www.atlasbig.com/en-us/countries-tourism-income

The only thing india lagged behind is Mexico is neighbour of USA so lot of dollars come inside Mexico .. but india has hostile countries in it's neighbourhood that's why we need to keep a huge army .. that's the reason we lagged behind in terms of per capita income ..
Only 20 billion came from U.S. while the Exports were 500 billions USD, just little below Indian exports , but India, has 10 times the population of Mexico, also due to cultural reasons the country is more clean and HDI is higher, because no all issues are related to budget among the countries. Human Development Index is a better indicator to show the quality of life . It's unfortunate India has rivals in the region, in America all countries are christians and specifically in Latin America all are Spanish countries with common history so there aren't many wars.

They have oil in Gulf of Mexico too where US has invested and buys from; USA has invested a lot in Mexico because of NAFTA, buys a lot from Mexico; Plus Mexico gets a lot of remittance from USA sent by Mexican expatriates

@@AvarageMexicoBall actually india is a secular country having all religions. people of all religions be it hindus, muslims, sikhs, christians stay in india. and india gave refuge to all religions which were persecuted elsewhere. Eg: we gave shelter to jews from poland during WW2. we gave shelter to zoroastrian faith people who fled from iran. this is the best thing about my country and culture.
