Maybe it's just my social circle, but I am surprised by the sheer number of movies one this list that I have neither watched nor have I heard other people talk about. Like usually in past years, I've seen or at least been recommended at least half the movies in the Best Pictures category, but this year I've maybe heard about 3-4 of them and only been recommended one of them.

I’ll be honest, there are a few film on this list that I just actively chose not to see and to see them make this list is odd to say the least.
