- the 62nd Miss USA pageant, was held on June 16, 2013 at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the title and the pageant was televised live on NBC. Outgoing titleholder Nana Meriwether of Maryland crowned her successor Erin Brady of Connecticut at the end of the event. This was Connecticut's first ever Miss USA crown.

I remember rooting for Connecticut the entire pageant. So happy Erin won! Love her.
I wanted Illinois. I was living in Chicago at that time and we were psyched! BUT Connecticut was a good choice. The total package.
She was spectacular.
My favorites that year all the time was Illinois and Alabama

Erin must have been the other girls' favorite. I have rarely seen such a spontaneous expression of approval from the other contestants after the winner is announced.
I love how the way Nana said 'oh my God' to Erin before she crowned her.

Although Alabama was skinny and did not answer the question that the best, I would’ve crowned her. She had stronger facial beauty and the IT factor. I think she would’ve done well at Miss Universe. Erin did turn out to be a good Miss USA though and did make top 10 at Miss Universe.

From a non-American point of view Connecticut is facially superior than Alabama.
My favorite that year was Alabama I’m in love Mary Margaret and I remember I was very angry 😡 she finally was first runner up, Erin had a bad body she it’s like an square, 1000 times better Alabama with Mary Margaret Mccord

Javi y Talli ASMR because Olivia won miss universe and could not complete her duties as miss USA. She had to pass on the crown to the 1st runner up which is Nana.

Yes, because there was a top 5 and also the fan vote. If the fan vote was included in the top 5 then there would have been only a top 5. However, Miss Texas was not in the top 5 but was the fan favorite online, so she received a pass to the final 6 and got to answer a final question. She was not one of the favorites which is why she was 4th runner up.
