Catfishing a CRYSTAL CLEAR Urban Arizona Pond! (Underwater Catfish Footage)

- We are back on the underwater catfishing grind! This one took many many trips to make, as the fish don’t always cooperate in clear water. We managed to get some really good-looking fish on the underwater fishing camera!
These urban Arizona catfish ponds are stocked full of fish every year. This is a great chance to go catch a lot of fish fast! As you can see the water was crystal clear, so you can see everything going on down there.
Underwater fishing videos are some of my favorite to make. You really get a feel for what the fish do and how the prefer some baits over others. This da the stryker punch bait was doing the best for us. The blood and garlic were getting it done. We also managed a few fish on magic bait!

Hotdogs are all you need here.
Add a stinger hook exposed out of the side of bait or liver, works well with elastic bandage as well.
I have never caught anything with catfish baits , hotdogs, cool-aid,chicken. I try them all the time on a second pole, the cat’s always take my cut bait, crawlers, minnows and livers. I know people have successfully used the baits, guess I have bad luck with them
Try a Sante cooper rig with the camera rig with like a 3 foot leader can help see them take the bait cuz it will be suspended in the water column
I have considered doing that, I may try next time but we’ll see

My father lives in sun city west.fished a few of those urban ponds,trout and cats.fun places.never realized the weeds.im guessing you should thin some of those bluegills out.no bass on the cam,odd.they stock those as well.do they still require the "urban " license?...old man is 95 ...i,ll be out there way to soon.will attempt to make a bad trip into a tolerable one.i,ll pack a rod or go to cabelas on the west side and buy gear.love lake pleasant as well.fished and quail hunted there.great fun.btw really liked the underwater 👍

That’s the thing I did lol, these stockers prefer stinker bait. No bites on the gill
Nice footage. These catfish they stock in AZ do act different. Powerbait at one local lake, waterdogs and floating worms at another. At I caught a small largemouth on Stryker today on a side note. IDK, get your hook wet and see what happens I guess.
Definitely are a bit different, you just never know!

Nice! I fished Mansel this weekend. It seemed pretty fished out. Absolutely nobody caught anything except tiny blue gills. Was there all day using variety of bait and only caught a 2lb channel.
Sounds about right man that place gets beat hard. I see the same people out there all the time just catching limits everyday. Definitely have to time the stock

Catch about 9 or 10 of those gills and cut them up in tiny pieces.
Already tried it here, they prefer the stinkier bait. They have really developed an appetite for the gills yet because they were freshly stocked
