I worked on building site and in winter we put our hands into freezing cold ice water until they were sore with cold then gave them a really good shake to get the blood to circulate and warm them back up, our hands then kept warm nearly all day, give it a try, but you must keep them in freezing water for as long you can, just give it a go see for yourself, also works fir the feet as well

Hi, what a great film! First time I have seen your vid. Subbed. I love catching sea trout (UK)but never caught in the sea. Would love to fish somewhere like that ! Going to watch your other posts now!!!!!

Tip for cold fingers that I have found very useful this season: Thin nitrile gloves over mittens. They dont breath but keep the warm inside and prevent direct contact with cold water. Does not impact line handling and you get several pairs in cheap package.

I have tried that too. Even double layer. The only thing making me not use them anymore is that I haven't found black ones again since I ran out 😄

Great video as always. I currently have a #6 TFO Axiom II X, but looking to upgrade/getting another rod. Have you tried the Vesion Meri rod and can you reccomend it? Was thinking about getting a it as a #7. Which line would prefer? I fish the coast in Denmark after Sea Trout :)

    Hi Robert,
What a magnificent sea trout and a great film as well. After watching your films I’m planning to have a go at coastal fly fishing this season and I would want to be able to tie suitable flies for sea trout. Is there a book that you could recommend that gives tying information for suitable saltwater sea trout flies?
Best wishes for the 2022 season tight lines.

Spent fish should be left alone. Be it fresh or salt water. It’s a kelt.
