    Here's the thing, posca paint markers are very popular with the general public and artists. Most of them have never seen or heard of a mop before and to them this is something completely new that they want to try. Maybe they even think that a mop is something that posca just invented. To them permanency doesn't matter since they'll be using it inside on canvases and wood

    • @emocatmom
      @emocatmom 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      some highflow acrylic and an empty amazon mop works the exact same, moprs are a total gimmick imo

      Exactly right. It's the mainstream artists buying these for the most part I imagine, as you say

      And as well format and diameter is brand new for newcommers while we use shoe mops since day 1, I can get the hype for this posca but not worth export price…

    I think the real value of these would be using them to refill Posca markers if you're really into using their paint and colors, since they don't seem to sell refills. I bet this mop is the best value in terms of mls of paint per dollar for a posca. Still absurdly expensive though.

    • @ScizGraffiti
      @ScizGraffiti  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That could be the case! Very well thought out. It might be worth picking up and using in other posca markers if you intend to refill it with a serious paint or ink yourself especially

    • @dkae92
      @dkae92 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Just make your own? Just mix some paint medium/retarder or windex with acrylic paint.. preferably high flow acrylic paint.. you want the consistency to be like airbrush paint.. then you can make your own colours instead of always having to use that same hot pink for the millionth time

    • @leohuxtable439
      @leohuxtable439 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dkae92 For most markers that's fine. It's really only Posca's 0.7mm plastic nib markers and their 2mm equivalent marker (pc-3m) where that doesn't work. Posca doesn't use acrylic paint. It's a poster color/paint variant. Pilot and Spanish Montana use a similar formula for their water-based markers.
      You can DIY random acrylic paint to flow through smaller nibs, but it loses too much opacity. Spanish Montana sells refills and those are close enough to be usable.
      For 3mm nibs you can use whatever.

    Posca mops got popular because of videos on platforms like youtube or tik tok. Videos with them were including some sort of satisfying doodles of popular game characters like the kirby video that you included.Videos are getting that much views because kids and not only watch these videos and they like the drawings or the way mop draws. I don't know if you can get these markers but if you can i think you should try dripper mops tgey are a must have in europe because of their vibrancy and small price.Please tag for me in the next amazing review .

    Poscas aren't great for the streets since the paint weathers really quickly, but it's alright for making stickers and weatpastes since the posca sinks into the paper

    • @Skaiform
      @Skaiform 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    • @ScizGraffiti

    Maaaaan this thing has been around in europe for a while, and even WITH my gear connections, ive NEVER felt beyond slightly curious about the MOPR, I blackbook with Poscas and i know their limits, and for Writing, those are many. You can cap solvent based tags and inks with water base, and it wont bleed too much, hence their rotation in the blackbook, but for street, its ONLY good if you're tryna hit a grilled spot and dont care how long it lasts.
