Ahsoka reaches out to Sabine because that is who she was looking for; There is not reason for Ahsoka to think that Sabine and Ezra would be together... Plus Ahsoka has a Teacher Student relationship that connects them... Ezra was NEVER Ahsoka's Student, there relationship was based on Jedi Partners... Even the Force Ghost can only appear to those that hey have the Student Teacher Relationship, not just to any Jedi...
If the troopers were undead then their numbers wouldn't be dwindling. It looks like he is loading up corpses that will be his undead army into the chimaera.
Considering the were being held in a Dathamiri tower/tomb he is most likely bringing a zombie nightsister army they made it a point to speak on their ability to resurrect.
I might be mistaken but it looked like Ezra was using a form of Tai Chi? Mainly because of that two-handed push back he did with the force. After being alone for so many years and becoming in-tuned with the force he might be a serious pacifist, hence why he doesn't want his lightsaber anymore.
The Whale's are space animals. They live in space and die in space, so there's no reason the bones would be on the surface except for the occasional one that gets knocked into the gravitational pull by a meteor for instance. I think the Great Mothers are using Thrawn and his ship to get to Dathomir, and once they get what they want they will be done with him or turn on him. Ahsoka's connection is with her Padawan, Sabine, not Ezra. Her connection would not be as strong with him as it would be with her. Plus she's looking for Sabine in that moment, not him. Stop saying give Ezra the lightsaber...she tried to and he said he didn't need it. He's a Force Monk now and likes fighting with just the Force. If he wanted it he'd take it I'm sure. Plus it looked like you missed the cool scene of him blocking the lightsaber with the force push. I love the fact that he doesn't feel the need to take the lightsaber. I foresee Shin switching sides and I think Ahsoka feels that too. I think she let her go to develop trust with her where she's losing it with Baylan and the others. Another perfect episode.
Why didn't Ahsoka connect with Ezra? A couple of reasons, primary that she doesn't know if he is there or not. Second Huyang said asked if the connection between Ahsoka and Subine was strong enough. We have seen this connection many times, first being Luke to Leia in Empire and Vader to Luke (Empire Special Edition), but this is the first time we've heard that there must first be a connection between the people. Would the Luke to Leia not worked if they weren't twins? Or Vader to Luke if they weren't father/son?
Ezra hasnt used a lightsaber in however many years hes been on that planet, and has developed his own fighting style, i imagine he feels it would be more of a hinderance to try and fight with a lightsabre that he would be very rusty with instead of what he is used to.
Or more likely the whole you dont indian give a lightsaber....if you pass it on to someone it belongs to them now thats what ezra was telling her he literally said no i gave it to you its yours now.
Huyang telling stories reminded me of the extended edition of The Two Towers when Treebeard did the same with Merry and Pippin. In it Jackson used the lighting of the sun/moon to show the passage of time as they slowly walked thru the forest. Not sure how you accomplish that while inside a star whale, but yeah, I agree that could have been done better. Maybe Huyang grows a beard, or at least some stubble?
I think Dave said ahsoka is supposed to be a setup show for his movie so this show might end in a way to setup for a movie where Thrawn is the villain and explains and leads into the sequels
26:33 An unstoppable group of Night Troopers means Ezra and Sabine are dead. That's it folks. They can't be one hit wonders and unstoppable. It would end the show right there. Also, this is the second video I've had to say this on but I'm passed done with this interpretation that Jedi are defined by a light stick and not by their actual connection with the Force. The only reason in Attack of the Clones that Yoda pulls out a lightsaber is neither he nor Dooku could over come the other with their knowledge of the Force alone. So they had to slum it with Lightsabers. But people just see funny little green man flying all over the place with a mini lightsaber. Not that Dooku and Yoda were matched with the Force. Same with Yoda vs Palpatine. The Emperor was Force throwing senator platforms at him for crying out loud. A lightsaber fight wasn't going to do shit cos in that case Palpatine was way stronger and beat him. Fans should be cheering that Ezra can kick ass without a lightsaber instead of being demanding someone gimp him with one. He said he didn't need it. Did Chirrut? He wasn't even a Jedi. Stop thinking in video game and thinking Jedi = Lightsaber. Force Mastery means defeating an enemy with the Force alone. And you shouldn't be considered a Jedi Master if you have to use some form of weapon to do it. I mean is any one bitching that Ahsoka fought off Shin without a lightsaber? Ezra was kicking total ass with his Force skills. We should all want more of that.
Well, you did saw that "Thrawn" was good at strategy. What do you think about the possibility of Baylan returning back to the "Jedi " way?..Especially as the last thing he says to Shin reminded me of what Ben Kenobi said to Luke, before he went to confront Darth-Vader in "A New Hope ".. Can't believe we have only got one episode left!..Am still hoping for Cal Kestis to make an appearance. Have loved watching your videos, theories. And reactions. Great work 👏 🇬🇧
Only an overgrown child would keep saying 'Give Ezra his lightsabre' over & over without recognizing that a) Sabine already tried to & b) the fact that he can fight without one simply using the force probably means he know's what he's doing.
I love how you really see this as a real thing and that they couldn't just write that he got a saber in some way lol. But I'm assuming they wanna have a Huyang moment where he builds another again, if he does at all. Or at least make him a cool Jedi Monk.
Just had the craziest thought. Tales of the Jedi vol.2 has been confirmed by Dave, written by him too. And we’ve seen an infinite amount of time actors getting recast for animation projects: Anakin, Obi-Wan, Maul… and vice-versa. What if that’s how we see Baylan’s story? Unfortunately Ray Stevenson is no longer with us. I would hate for his character to be recasted in live action… But in animation… we’ve seen it with Tarkin, with Obi-Wan, with Leia. We could see three episodes of Baylan, in the Clone War. Meeting Shin and training her… getting that realization that leads him to this show. It’s very possible.
I hate to bust the bubble of your expectations, but episode 8 is going to end with the Eye of Sion, Chimera in tow, disappearing into hyperspace while our heroes are left on Peridia. They've done everything but hit us in the face with a brick over it. Ezra has said something about going home 3 or 4 times. Either they are all going to be stuck or Ezra is going to make some sort of sacrifice for the rest to go back. The Noti asking him, "What about us?" also makes me wonder if he will stay.
Like you Iloved the episode. Love Huyang and his commentary. Really got it that Asoka could possibly connect with Sabine. He did not have the saber for years ergo no practice Besides he has grown in new was to use the force. I was thrilled when he said the Force was his ally. Loved the Huyang workshop in the plane. Love thr aliens and beasts. Like the connections with Greek mythology and Norse mythology. I wish for less criticsms. This is a sci fi fantasy show... right. Thing do not have to agree with everyones expections. Troopers are not your normal troopers. Scary witchrs green magic ( baby poop green not healthy tree green) Do not let trolls get under your skin. Love your assessmrnts.
25:45 Why Ezra didn't take his Lightsaber... Think about it... he didn't use one for 10 Years... Sabine as trained... to face Shin who is very skilled... Ezra is no match for now... This, is why i didn't take it in my opinion.
Regarding Ahsoka vs Baylan, my interpretation was that Huyang was trying to drop her off as close as he could to Ezra while the fighters were chasing them, targeting a piece of terrain that would be easy for her to dismount onto. Baylan saw this happening and positioned himself between her and Ezra/Sabine. Ahsoka says “I don’t have time for this” implying that she doesn’t want to fight, he’s just in the way. So her goal is simply to get past him. I love the acting from him as he decides whether to follow her or continue on with his quest.
I don't understand why you want to push Ahsoka and Ezra. Ezra is not the kind of character to take a new master after Kanan, and he's never been a Jedi, he's a peaceful force user. That's why he didn't want the sabre. It's not him anymore, he's moved past it.
@@coachmikesfilmroom3111 He clearly has. He's more of a force monk now. Ezra was always spiritual with his connection to living things. His progression here makes perfect sense

I believe Ezra accepted the natives idea of not using weapons of any kind. If he took the lightsaber, it would be disrespectful to their beliefs. He might have taken an oath which allowed him to join their group. Just a thought.
Yet both he and the noti ended up using weapons...XD did you even watch the episode. He grabs a blaster eventually and the noti use rocks, sling shots hell even a frying pan.

Liked the episode, just wish it ended with a more exciting cliffhanger moment, maybe a scene showing what Baylan is seeking. I have a feeling Thrawn is going to use his knowledge of Vader/Anakin to his favor and maybe cast doubt against her by informing her friends of what happened with her Master, making them somewhat uneasy about the situation. From what I understand, Ahsoka never revealed this to Ezra, correct?
To expand on my point, you showed Thrawn say, "Recall..." but not what or why. Then you show Shin run away without ANY of the leadup to it WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to her story going forward. Please consider what you show in future. It will encourage people to follow your content.
Hello there Fred, I thought this episode was incredible in setting up the plot for the finale and became intresting when Ezra didnt use the lightsaber hes progressing into a verry intresting character so far, and shows by the line "the force is my allie" that he has fully embraced it and they havent gone the luke skywalker last jedi rought, thankfully 😅 yet another great reaction man i honestly cant wait for the finale
Guys, don't put your hopes up, the show is going to end on a cliffhanger. Ahsoka will probably have a lot of seasons planned. Which is good, leave more room for development, rush is always bad.
@@colorfulbleeding With all due respect with your simplified surface level analysis, this is not going to stop Ahsoka of having more seasons... like at all lmao.
So the word Zeffo keeps popping up with regards to Peridia's past. This could be the first darkside emperor or galactic emperor. The Rakata and the Zeffo did exist around the same time, way before the jedi or sith were even a thought. Thrawn would be afraid of a powerful darkside user far worse than the emperor.
I don't know what unnerves me more about the show, Sabine's character development or the lazy writing. Her character has twice now disobeyed Ahsoka (By taking the map from the ship and back to her base when told not too, leading to the map being taken. Which then lead directly to the second defying act when she didn't destroy the map which ultimately led the enemy to Thrawn/Ezra). Then to boot, after Ahsoka's apparent death, rather than defending her former Master in a bit of vengeance inspired rage ala ObiWan when Qui Gon Jin met defeat at the hands of Darth Maul, she agrees to freely go with the enemy on their quest. But wait, the bad writing doesn't stop there. The reunion with Ezra is odd in that he doesn't press the issue of how she found him or what ship she used that will aid them in their obvious escape. Nor does he seem to be in any particular hurry to return home and more disturbing yet, seems okay with her not wanting to discuss Ahsoka or answer any other question he asks about. She doesn't seem excited nor overjoyed when she finds out Ahsoka is alive, although considering the great deal of trouble she SHOULD be in when they eventually reunite, who can blame her. But yet again, bad writing rears it's ugly head and Ahsoka is apparently just fine with all that has transpired and the three Jedi are all one big happy family. Need we mention a Jedi that refuses to use a Lightsaber, yet is freely willing to brandish a firearm? I dunno man... I dunno. Other than that I loved the show. 🤷🏾♂
I agree, i could not connect with Sabine either. Her reunion with Ezra also felt flap, especially after kinda betraying Ahsoka and in her mind thinking she was dead. Also it feels it would be more fitting if Sabine trains now under Ezra and Asoka take Shin under her.
Ezra gave Sabine the same lightsaber she offered him to fight with when Thrawns soldier arrived but he refused saying "I gave that to you, it's yours now...the force is my ally...". Ezra's shown phenomenal growth in the years he's been away.

Even the Force Ghost can only appear to those that hey have the Student Teacher Relationship, not just to any Jedi...
This is the setup for Dave Filoni's announced movie.
Ezra literally refused to take a lightsaber. Sabine tried 3 times to give it to him and he said no. Something is off about Ezra.
Ahsoka doesn’t know Sabine is with Ezra so that’s why she reaches her instead of Ezra
Man sometimes you look away in the most awesome scenes lol
Ezra hasnt used a lightsaber in however many years hes been on that planet, and has developed his own fighting style, i imagine he feels it would be more of a hinderance to try and fight with a lightsabre that he would be very rusty with instead of what he is used to.
Or more likely the whole you dont indian give a lightsaber....if you pass it on to someone it belongs to them now thats what ezra was telling her he literally said no i gave it to you its yours now.
I think the game you’re thinking of is X-wing. It had a level called The Mines At Coruscant. I hated that damn level. 😂
No beard... just more tales.
you're the winiest star wars reactor I have ever watched seriously
I thought the de-aging job that they did on C-3PO was amazing!
I think Dave said ahsoka is supposed to be a setup show for his movie so this show might end in a way to setup for a movie where Thrawn is the villain and explains and leads into the sequels
26:33 An unstoppable group of Night Troopers means Ezra and
Sabine are dead. That's it folks. They can't be one hit wonders and
unstoppable. It would end the show right there. Also, this is the
second video I've had to say this on but I'm passed done with this
interpretation that Jedi are defined by a light stick and not by their
actual connection with the Force. The only reason in Attack of the
Clones that Yoda pulls out a lightsaber is neither he nor Dooku
could over come the other with their knowledge of the Force alone.
So they had to slum it with Lightsabers. But people just see funny
little green man flying all over the place with a mini lightsaber.
Not that Dooku and Yoda were matched with the Force. Same with
Yoda vs Palpatine. The Emperor was Force throwing senator
platforms at him for crying out loud. A lightsaber fight wasn't
going to do shit cos in that case Palpatine was way stronger
and beat him. Fans should be cheering that Ezra can kick ass
without a lightsaber instead of being demanding someone gimp
him with one. He said he didn't need it. Did Chirrut? He wasn't
even a Jedi.
Stop thinking in video game and thinking Jedi = Lightsaber.
Force Mastery means defeating an enemy with the Force alone.
And you shouldn't be considered a Jedi Master if you have to use
some form of weapon to do it. I mean is any one bitching that
Ahsoka fought off Shin without a lightsaber?
Ezra was kicking total ass with his Force skills. We should all
want more of that.
Silence shill.. Ezra picked up a blaster soon afterwards... so much for "he knows what he's doing"
@@ViewfromtheVoid I don't remember him ever saying he wont user weapons. He just wont use a saber lol.
The zombie stormtroopers are in episode 8. You see the dead ones being loaded onto the ship.
Overall another really good episode. I'm sad that there is only one episode left 😢
Missed opportunity not having Ackbar say, "It's a wrap!"
Great idea!
Imagine Luke watching Anakin´s records as a Jedi.
Her bond is with sabine like luke with leia and leia wasn't a jedi
But Leia definitely had the force thou
He did not have the saber for years ergo no practice
Besides he has grown in new was to use the force.
Scary witchrs green magic ( baby poop green not healthy tree green)
Do not let trolls get under your skin. Love your assessmrnts.
Ezra might want to build his own lightsaber again.
25:45 Why Ezra didn't take his Lightsaber... Think about it... he didn't use one for 10 Years... Sabine as trained... to face Shin who is very skilled... Ezra is no match for now... This, is why i didn't take it in my opinion.
Plus, it's not his anymore. He gave it to Sabine who has since modded it like Huyang said.
Heh I liked the New Republic scene though, yay 3PO. And it was good seeing Xiono put in his place!
Denies lightsaber...."the force is my alley" uses a stormtrooper blaster. Cuz ya know...making sense is important😂
I don't understand why you want to push Ahsoka and Ezra. Ezra is not the kind of character to take a new master after Kanan, and he's never been a Jedi, he's a peaceful force user. That's why he didn't want the sabre. It's not him anymore, he's moved past it.
He was literally training to be a Jedi by Kanan. Whether he's trained by Ahsoka or Luke, he needs to continue growing.
@@coachmikesfilmroom3111 He clearly has. He's more of a force monk now. Ezra was always spiritual with his connection to living things. His progression here makes perfect sense
I think i havent rooted for the villains in such a long time
Baylan gives me "Vader if he never got burned" vibes.
Hear me out, the "cargo" from the catacombs are Zeffo. It makes sense, We know they built the compound and catacombs, why would they be Night Sisters? most fled to the SW galaxy.
Ezra hasn’t held a saber for almost 10 years and only had the force. He’d undoubtedly be complete garbage with it at the moment.
but his force was not impressive at all for someone who survived thanks to it for years fighting night sisters and stormtroopers.
@@colorfulbleeding because they made it clear there was no fighting.....not a single time was it ever implied ezra and thrawn ever came to blows. Thrawn could care less about ezra until sabine got there all he cares about is getting back. But since the chance to get ezra was there he went for it with minimal resources because he has bigger fish to fry....like an entire galaxy.
I didn’t realise they were corpses 😱 that’s awesome !! Can’t wait to see how it all ends.
The lead night Mother is played by Claudia Black who was Aeryn Sun from Farscape and Stargate SG1
I said it was a thought, I didn't declare it a law. It wasn't presented to him, the blaster was in the stormtroopers possession and he used his strength to point the blaster towards other stormtroopers.
How many stormtroopers die every year from frying pan injuries?
@@thomasfinnell9681 He kills one trooper while its still in the other troopers hand he then goes full blown john wick with it solo...again did you even watch the damn episode XD what on earth...
@@thomasfinnell9681 A weapon is a weapon you made a foolish statement and were corrected for it. Learn and move on.
Are they going to do the Galaxy Quest "dragging mines" thing?
Bro I was looking everywhere last night to see ur reaction 😂😂
Liked the episode, just wish it ended with a more exciting cliffhanger moment, maybe a scene showing what Baylan is seeking. I have a feeling Thrawn is going to use his knowledge of Vader/Anakin to his favor and maybe cast doubt against her by informing her friends of what happened with her Master, making them somewhat uneasy about the situation. From what I understand, Ahsoka never revealed this to Ezra, correct?
She wouldn’t know Ezra is even alive so it makes sense
To expand on my point, you showed Thrawn say, "Recall..." but not what or why. Then you show Shin run away without ANY of the leadup to it WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to her story going forward. Please consider what you show in future. It will encourage people to follow your content.
She didn't know Ezra was there, but a strong bond was implied, and as close as Ahsoka was to Ezra, she's closer to Sabine.
Nostalgia is a helluva drug isn't it?
Season 2 has already been approved. The next episode will be a setting things up for next season, not any kind of resolution.
I think Ahsoka connected with Sabine instead of Ezra is because her bond must be stronger with her
Sabine and Ezra are like brothers and sisters you oblious silly goose
Do you think Skyman could impersonate a good Baylen Scrull?
That is an idea.
Ezra didn't want the lightsaber cause he's a monk now, not a samurai lol
its not his. He gave it to her and she modified it Huyanng literally explains this.
Even if the storm troopers were dead, why would that make them more formidable?
Im sorry, did you make some asmr videos in the past? A couple of years ago i was watching a channel and the guy was like you twin
You should be the Baylan Skoll replacement if they decide to recast him.
that's a bit...odd, my guy@rileygarraway
Dreams and Madness, I'm not subscribed to the theory because i think is a little too much, but that did made me think of Abeloth
Guys, don't put your hopes up, the show is going to end on a cliffhanger. Ahsoka will probably have a lot of seasons planned. Which is good, leave more room for development, rush is always bad.
ratings are bad it might not have a 3rd season
@@colorfulbleeding Ratings are bad? Where? It scored high everywhere.
@@Noctuam734 Disney subscriptions are down and the show is not a success. It is a critical success but not in term of view or bringing new customers.
@@colorfulbleeding With all due respect with your simplified surface level analysis, this is not going to stop Ahsoka of having more seasons... like at all lmao.
@@Noctuam734 basic economy. You don t spend money if you don t get returns.
I wish you didn't buy into that "men cant save women now because of feminism" bs. he literally said he gave that to her and he uses the force instead.
I am thinking the "cargo" they have been loading up might be dead Jedi that Thrawn wants the Nightsisters to reanimate, a-la Marrock the Inquistor..
Completely beyond the subject and you probably read that a lot but you should definitely rebrand your channel to “The son of Odin” :D
Interstellar Space Travel used to be bigger mellowed by Jedi High Council it seems,to keep something out its almost as if
I agree, i could not connect with Sabine either. Her reunion with Ezra also felt flap, especially after kinda betraying Ahsoka and in her mind thinking she was dead. Also it feels it would be more fitting if Sabine trains now under Ezra and Asoka take Shin under her.
