The 2024 Firecracker 50 | Breckenridge, CO | Mountain Bike Racing

- After finishing our first year of racing across Texas we wanted to take on our biggest challenge yet! The Firecracker 50 held on July 4th each year in Breckenridge, CO looked like an awesome road trip before Will left for College. We signed up for the team relay and tackled the 50 miles and 8000' of climbing as a team and it did not dissapoint! From the amazing parade start, to epic miles long climbs, to fast and flowing decents this race is one for the ages and certainly something we will never forget!

Nice effort! Happy to have made a couple cameos in this vid. You don't notice when you're "festival of brutality" mode but it's so pretty there--we really had perfect conditions for this race.
Love it! Where were you in video? Our time was generally pretty average but pretty sure we could knock it down to 6 hours with a little better prep and no crashes. Conditions were phenomenal! Really loved Breckenridge.
Father n Son fun in Breck. I need to get back up there. Last time my son and I rode there was in back in 2021.
Bummer on the OTB / crash , losing the bike computer and wardrobe malfunction. Congrats to both of you completing this brutal race.

Yeah - this really cool kid from Texas A & M was struggling with leg cramps the whole way up and he just blew up right before the first aid station. I saw that he finished though! Kudos to him!

Yup. I chalk it up to his first year mountain biking. Thinking he had his right pedal down around that pass and there was a stump sticking out. Hence the dumpster fire!
