Can this yacht 80, be made fully disabled accessible, from the flybridge down to the engine room? Whether externally and/or internally, or both? As this 80 yacht, does have a lift installed as an option, so can this internal lift, go to all or most decks and carry a wheelchair too? Or can stair-lifts, be installed on the internal staircases too? Or can overhead rail tracking and self-propelled and powered lift hoist system, even be installed? Along with suitable safety grab rails fitted where necessary, in bathrooms, shower rooms, day head and bedrooms, lounge and dining area, galley kitchen, passageways and public areas etc too? For disabled owners and family members, plus disabled guests and passengers too? Including getting on and off the yacht 80, via or with a use of a loading and unloading (wheelchair wide enough) folding or telescopic ramp system too? Or have external swing arm powered hoist crane system, on the flybridge deck, or upper bridge deck and on the main deck in the cockpit area too? For either lifting a disabled person between deck levels externally? Or for lifting a disabled swimmer, in and out of the water? Or lifting a disabled person and wheelchair, in and out of a tender along side? Or to and from a pontoon, when moored in a marina or harbour etc? As disabled people, or those with chronic health conditions, or just those getting elderly, with growing mobility issues. Are not alway very well catered for very well, with modern yacht designs, as for older yachts just forget being fully Disabled Accessible. Or can be upgraded and refurbished, to a fully disabled accessible yacht? We only seen one new British catamaran explorer motor yacht, design from the start to be offered as a fully disabled accessible yacht! Hi Wendy, Thank you for your questions about disabled access. The lift that has been installed on the N80 is not sized to accommodate a wheelchair. To date, Nordhavn has not built a boat meeting the requirements that you have listed and this subject does not have an easy “yes or no” answer. We would be happy to meet with you to discuss your needs in more detail.
Your 'fully air-conditioned engineroom' - the main engines are drawing vast amounts of intake air from that engineroom - you cannot be airconditioning that air, the AC load would be huge with no benefit. Airconditioned at jetty or anchor when main engines are shut down?
