In defense of VLokken-stein's monster: Mole ( Pronounced Moh-lay) is a Mexican style sauce that uses chocolate in the base that slaps, so I would imagine with the butter and the hot sauce combined with it not being super sweet would make it taste similar.
It is pronounced (Moh-leh)
Piggybacking off of this to say that the chocolate flakes were 'vlokken', not 'hagelslag'. Hagelslag are more cylinder shaped, much tinier, and a little sturdier than vlokken.

Chocolate works really well with savoury things. Especially if the chocolate isn't very sweet. There's a reason why a lot of recipes call for cocoa powder/chocolate in chili con carne. Chili pepper and chocolate is an old combo - and by that I mean *ANCIENT.*

I think the magic of sandwiches is that you can put ingredients that you wouldn't normally eat, or you wouldn't normally mix together, but in a sandwich all the flavors kind of blend together so that you don't really taste each individual ingredient, but only as a whole. Of course, there are some ingredients, or "ingredients", that can overpower the other flavors and ruin the overall taste. Especially if it's a particular ingredient you don't like, or perceive that you don't like, that can also ruin it for you. Like sardines. But other than that I think sandwiches are interesting to experiment with.

With the first sandwich, episode 200, from a taco bell worker, you can absolutely come up to us and say "Can I just get a flatbread" or "Can I just get a Chalupa shell" and we'll charge you like a dollar or around 60-70 cents and give you one. Not sure about the other places though.

As an ex mcdonalds employee, at least in my location, it was quite common getting "cheeseburgers" like the one in the vod, but also "Burgers" just the patties. It's usually a dog order. 3:14

sweet and spice work so the chocolate and hot sauce mix thats why you mix pinneaple on pizza with hot sauce it heightens the flavor of the sweet and helps the spice be less hot but more flavorful

If the restaurants weren't selling him these things directly, I'd bet they were sold at local grocer's. I've seen bottles of Taco Bell and Buffalo Wild Wings sauces, but I haven't seen stuff like Subway bread, yet (could be a Michigan thing though).

What ever you think is a weird order, they have had weirder, I worked at a micky d once, and someone ordered a cheese burger, no patty, no mustard, French fries inside the burger, and double crown bun, so someone ordering a cheese burger with only a slice of cheese inside it is fairly normal.

I know when I worked at Subway, I would hear about how we used to sell just the bread. However, by the time I started there, we were no longer allowed to sell just the bread because there was no way to ring up just the bread on the register and it messed with the inventory counts.

When I worked at McDonald's this lady came in and ordered a cheeseburger with just cheese and instead of them putting it in for us as "just cheese' they put it in as "no meat", "no ketchup", ect.... We was so confused but that was better than when a lady asked for a mega amount of food for a wedding

Honestly having had most of the ingredients in isolation I can see the 8 .7. All the ingredients, pair, and grippos are weird because they are both very sweet and very spicy, so it would go good with both the hot sauce and the really sweet bread. Then I imagine everything else would be overpowered by it

I work at McDonald's. Believe it or not ordering just a bun and cheese is actually more common than you'd think: most of the time it's parents getting their picky child a "grilled cheese".
We also get things like "Double Quarter Pounders, extra everything, no bun" and "ice cream, put it in a cup, no cone" and "Big Mac only bun and meat", so never feel bad about getting a seemingly odd order; i promise we've had stranger.
One time someone asked for a Big Mac but replace the mac sauce with Tartar sauce, no meat, and triple extra pickles. About gagged making that lol
