A well done review! I've had this model for 11 months. It worked just okay, but unless you have a pet that sheds hair, a regular vacuum will do a much better job and much faster too. It takes my Roomba i3+ (i3550) 42 minutes to vacuum our family room that takes me just 5 minutes.
Totally agree. It's been about 11 months since and I haven't had any major issues except from time to time I would loose connection. and the second thing that I learned is always check for accumulation of hair getting caught up on the corner brush and the roller brush. You keep these parts clean it'll stays very sufficient at what it does, pick up crumbs and dirt.
Ya but that's 5 minutes of doing something else. Also you have to get the vacuum out and put it away. You might have to vacuum 2 - 3 times per week when this can run overnight. Also if you have pets like I do it needs to go more like 5 - 10 times per week.
my i7 works amazingly well on my hard floors, but my carpets/rugs, that's a WHOLE different story to be telling. it always leaves clumps from my 2 dogs pet hair everywhere on the carpet. i dont understand how other i and e series robots are managing to pick up all of the hair coming from their dogs..i'm just disappointed and need a break from this thing. at this point, i'd rather vacuum myself than to break this thing out. i also can't return it since it's OUT OF WARRANTY! FUN! :D
@@unboxingsynapses9261 i mean, you can buy a carpet for the living room, but idk how it'll perform for you. unless your dog sheds a ton, maybe stay away from carpet that has transitions/thresholds in it.
No problem for my dog Honey. But it did stop working due to human hair stock around the rotating brush. Unscrewed the brush cleaned off the hair and it started working again.
@unboxingsynapses9261 good, it's really important to clean it every week. Here is a setup i made Roomba, Spinning Side brushes: every 2 - 3 weeks Dual rollers: every 1 week Dust from the bottom of the robot: every 1 month Bin: very rarely Automatic dirt disposal system Bag: every 30 days (as advertised) Charging pin connectors: every 1 month (on robot and on disposal system, don't use any hard brushes. Just a soft towel)
When it's fully charge my irobot I3 the ringlight is solid white. You can also check it on the IRobot home APP. there's a battery icon indicating the power level of your iRobot's battery.
When my i3+ goes back to the base, the light on the charging station turns on for a few seconds. Then the light ring indicator on the vacuum will have a white pulsing light while charging. Once charging is complete it turns into solid white light. After a few minutes the light turns off.
@Sandhya Gore Hello, My Irobot is a 2 piece vacuum cleaner. There is no reason to dismantle the parts out. SimplyBox them in their original state and wrap them in bubble wraps or clothes for protection from shifting and getting banged around inside the box. Hope this helps
Honestly I'd be happy with either of the Robot vacuum because it does pretty much the same thing. I'm not sure if the e6 have a mapping feature though.
Amazing review! I'm probably not going to get this model because if the mapping limitations, but it's a really good choice!! I might get the i7+ as it is discounted because they don't sell it on there web page anymore. Or i might get the S9+ because of it's incredibly good cleaning ability. I'm not worried about mopping combo robots as it's easier just mopping my self.
You got a point Sir. But for me it's been a little helper. It has really keep my house just a little bit more cleaner. yes there are areas to which the bot can't reach but that's okay. Lastly I also bought it because at that time it was on sale. thanks for the comments.
there's a couple things you can do. Did you check if the battery is still good? Maybe your battery is dead. Did you try resetting the robot? To reboot a Roomba i3, you can press and hold the Clean or Home button for 10-20 seconds until you hear a chime or see the ring light up. For more serious issues, you can try a factory reset through the iRobot app. Hope this helps you with your Roomba.

230 dollars! That is a dream! In Brazil the price is currently equivalent to 904 US dollars 😭
Oh my gosh. That is very expensive Sir. I got lucky it was on sale.
Cab you down the app on multiple phones? Can more than one person control this roomba.
Yes. Two different phones but signed in with the same account.
@@unboxingsynapses9261 Is it limited to two phones, can I do three phones etc. There are more than three adults in the house
@@GlobexCorporationHank Yes. it also worked on three phones. I just have to use the same account when logging in.

Does the white light on the base supposed to stay on my is not on at the moment
As far as I know when my robot is fully charged the light on the base goes off.
How we can find is that full charged?
When it's fully charge my irobot I3 the ringlight is solid white. You can also check it on the IRobot home APP. there's a battery icon indicating the power level of your iRobot's battery.
When it goes back to the base, does the light blinks for the duration of the charging period or no?
