Love the way you use the French word for Supermarket. So do I. Also started shopping at Lidl about a year ago to save money. Local Co-op far too expensive. Trouble is now that I get carried away with their foreign foods offers! My cat is Mr Harris and is on his own Katkin diet.
I would have sliced that salmon into six portions and frozen 3 of them raw for the following week. I use smooth peanut butter instead of tahini in all my recipes, it works out tastier and much cheaper. Seeing that lovely big tub of peanut butter you already had, you could have saved the price of the tahini bought at Asda. You're a very good experimental cook, it's fascinating to watch you in action. 😀
I would of cut the raw salmon into fillet sizes and then frozen them. I do love baked salmon. You wouldn't get any meditation in my garden, all you'd hear is the neighbours and their kids screaming and shouting and dogs barking 🙄
Ooh great video! Why do i never think of squeezing fresh lime in to make my water more interesting?! 😑 im always buying cordial that i end up finding too sweet!! I'll be doing that next week. Salmon might be a little pricey but its a quality ingredient and you need that while you're recovering from infection, so you can make an exception on that eh?! Thanks for the video and take care and have a good week, much love to you and yours, love from Lou in Southport xx
Not doin too bad petal, ta for asking. Some things good, some things crap! Thats life eh? You are one of the good things! 😊 love your videos, brighten up a day they do! Feel well, xxx
Hello Lovely, Glad you managed to get a good shop done. The soup sounds delicious. I used to make soup. Can't beat homemade. Love your recipe ideas. Take care. Hope you're back to full health very soon. xx💜💜💜
Awwww beautiful beany intro!! 🐈⬛ A nice healthy post-gym breakfast! Lunch looks great too! I love aubergine 😊 Butternut squash soup is one of my faves! (Sans lard and chicken obvs) I feel inspired to make some now, so thanks for that 🎉 Happy Sunday ❤
Hun why do you cook everything all at once? I understand it mean be less use of the oven in the week but eating food, especially meat and fish that was cooked days ago is not good for you! You could maybe do a stew with all the chicken and then portion it and freeze if you wanted to cook all at once? I usually get a half side of salmon from Asda, portion into 3 or 4 and freeze individually. It’s so quick to cook, I take 1 out, defrost, put in a dish with a few asparagus and baby plum tomatoes, salt and pepper, olive oil and put under the grill for 10-12mins, it’s delicious xx
If you bake the butternut squash whole in the oven - takes between 40 and 60 minutes depending on size - then you can just chop it in half, scoop out the seeds, cut it up skin and all, and then make your soup. It is far easier to make butternut squash soup this way than try and chop it raw. My Dan once sliced his thumb while cutting through a raw butternut squash and had to go to A&E to get stitched up! Butternut Squash is a brilliant source of polyphenols and BP/cholesterol-busting goodness. xxx
Looks lovely everything. You could have the salmon with soy sauce, miso and ginger or you could add it to Philadelphia or cream cheese and blend it to make a dip or add it to a sandwich with tomato or add it to pasta with the broccoli.
Brilliant as always. Great you've started going to the gym 👍 everything you make always looks amazing. Not sure if they still sell them. I presume they do, Lidl sell individually wrapped salmon fillets so you can freeze and pull one out as and when. I love salmon, don't often buy it any more. I'm sure Sainsbury's and Waitrose sell them too, not sure on prices. Jack is soo cute xx
Why didn't you freeze the chicken and fish before cooking or is it for ease through the week? I usually blend up my pumpkin or potato soup! Your looking so much better! I'm not sure I'd be exercising just yet, your poor lungs are still healing! I'd maybe just go for walks. That eggplant looked good! I've always been a bit scared of it! I'll have to try it now! Love love love your chair in the girl cave!
I’m considering having a bash at that soup, looked really good. just hope I don’t take a hand off tackling the squash, they’re like concrete gourds. Hope you’re feeling better Rechenda 😊

Mr Harris!
Tip for cutting butternut. Cook it in the microwave for 5 minutes before you chop it. Makes it much easier.
Great tip!
Love your woman cave!❤

I love him sooooo much xx
Everything looks delicious 😋
It was!
A couple of days ago I made a butternut squash stew but I used a pre-chopped bag of frozen butternut squash.
I wash the butternut squash, pierce it in a few places and roast it whole then it cuts like butter and you can scoop out the soft flesh
Ahhh x
Yeah but do you remember the days when you weren't frightened put your oven on due to the cost? I try to only put my oven on once a week. 😮

@@TheBudgetFoodie You’re doing great! Have you thought about getting an air fryer? It’s so quick, easy and cheap to cook individual meals xx
It’s a great idea I don’t have one x

Put some mint in the water with the lime, it’s so good.
Yes, mint grows easily in a window sill or pot. Very good if you have unsettled stomach drink it warm.

I rang the doctor and asked for them but they refused to give me more
