I am really intrigued by your accomplishment philosophy. it makes so much sense, crazy that you are talking about car audio but it rang bells off subject too. you're like a guru dude! good job!
Great stuff! The suggestion to complete the rack wiring for each of the 3 groups (inputs, outputs, & power/ground) in order, separately was excellent. I’m about to create and install an amp rack and def will follow your lead. ;)
i guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Chandler Brooks I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Organized over pretty is always a better option. And, when you cut the ABS Plastic, it would be better if you gave us a P.O.V shot in my opinion. You have expressed concern that you filmed everything and what else is there, but no matter.....we will always watch.
Great video! 1 quick question, maybe I missed it in your video - how do you deal with inputs for both of the amps? do you combine the signal coming from the HU into both amps?
Awesome video as usual and hello from Nashville!! I am having a hard time finding that exact wiring harness model number. I have tried both Axxess and Metra and neither have that part number. 2019 F-150 xlt crew cab. I happen to be installing the kicker key 200 as well this next week if I can get the wiring harness
DEAN!!!! Did you increase the wire gauge on the 4 channel fuse? The jacket went from factory red to almost pink and no explanation of why. I just bought both these amps; expiring minds want to know!
I'm planning on installing these amps in my 19 f150. I'm planning on using the 200.4 to power the 4 doors. Where should the signal for the subwoofer get pulled from?
Not much detail was shown on the config of the inputs coming from the T-harness to the two amplifiers. Do you basically just Y-split the wires from the T-harness and send one branch to each amplifier since it’s high-level in this vehicle? What would you do if you had one set of low-level inputs? Same Y-split just w/ RCA’s?
Dean, what kind of panel saw do you guys have? I want to go away from my Delta table saw because feeding it by myself is a pain and have had kickbacks that left a 15 inch long bruise exactly 3/4 of an inch wide, lol.
I love the idea of these Amplifiers, I have a JL XD700/5 amp sitting here on a shelf. But I like the fact these have simple DSP in them. What would you recommend keep the JL or go for the Kicker Key. I would probably go with same setup up but run power to rear doors as well. I just got a 2017 F150 Thanks for showing this. One more question why go high level instead of low level? Added cost of amp pro?
how much harder is ABS than blown PVC? will blown PVC break in half if it's too tall and wide? Difference between? You guys are great learned a lot from you guys building my own Amp racks now, took a lot of knowledge from you. Edit: blown PVC looks more OEM to me.
Imagine how much cleaner it would have been with a fused distribution block. I'm sure you know this, but the fuse protects the wire. You could have ran a 30A. Even if the amp full-short crapped out, that 30A is gonna pop nanoseconds after a 20A would have. Insignificant.
As always very insightful and super clean!! I have a question, how do you determined when to leave a gap between two amps, like in this case, and when to mount the amps together with no gap?
So I had one of these installed in my 2017 f250. Besides a horrible install and complete lack of care, somehow they tied into whatever and now my door chime is super loud and amplified. Anyone know how to fix this. Thank you

So much knowledge. By the time I'm done watching this video my brain will be stuffed. Lol great work guys.
I enjoy seeing the amp racks cut and rounded.
My install just got exponentially easier. Thanks so much.
I started using ferrules because of five star. I had a amp n stuff ran in my car, I cleaned up all the wiring and used ferrules
Killer build so far can’t wait to see all the kicker key tuning set up procedures. I totally feel you on the tool pile... 😣

@Hayes Lorenzo Instablaster ;)

@Chandler Brooks It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
@Hayes Lorenzo No problem =)
Would you do a video where you give tips on establishing a good ground for an amplifier even if it means drilling a hole in the floor? Thanks.
Perhaps I missed it, but in bi-amp mode how are you hooking up the inputs? Are they only using AMP1 inputs?

Also when you use a t-harness the remote (blue wire) connects to speed wire.... in your video of installing 200.4 and the 500.1 for the subwoofer

thank you again! love the execution!
I have 0 knowledge about all of this and nonetheless I find it fascinating to watch how you guys work. Maybe I'll learn a trick or 2...😆
Five Star Car Stereo why run power down drive side when battery is on passenger would that be a shorter run ?
I understood ya plane as day since I install

Nicely done!

Space
What if you ran a 100 amp fuse at the battery wouldn't that work and you won't need the fuse holder all the way in the back
I miss the long install vids
Also I’m have a pioneer avic-w8500nex
On the kicker key 500.1 .... where the speaker connects if I cut the rca and go hi-level do i need to run speed wire
Dean so where the blue wire goes.... connected

What year is this f150? I have a 2020 to do...
My kicker key sub amp keep getting hot and the sub smells burn? Help me please
Why use two pieces of 9 wire?
Can you do a Chrysler 300
Wont the sentra melt when the amplifier gets hot?
It's good to 160F.
Dean sounds a little like ChrisFix
A mean the remote control
Remote wire
I can’t no gain match
boom first
