To prevent more litter tracking I used a special mat in front of the box. It helped alot! I'm glad your cats loved the box design.

For one in our current apartment our bathroom doors shut automatically, and the cats aren't allowed in there anyway because we have the windows open for ventilation and there are no screens. I've heard of a couple types in the US that changing color. They're fairly new though.
Lauren Franco they sell recycled paper ones at petsmart! they come in big bags too. we used to use them for our rabbits
They sell something similar to this at my local PetSmart.
Most of this stuff is available for small pets - ferrets, rabbits, etc.
Well I've actually had this igloo litter box from Pidan for a while now, and I discovered it on Amazon US. Also, prettylittercats.com/ sells color changing litter and I'm pretty sure they're based in the US. The US has plenty of variety, you just have to discover it : ) Japan definitely does packaging better though omg

A quick tip! We switched to a dome-style anti-tracking litter box like your new one and mysteriously one of our cats developed a UTI and started going in the box's entrance instead of inside the box. Turns out that she hated the litter box and resisted using it until she couldn't hold it in anymore, which caused the UTI. So just keep an eye on your kitties! It would have saved us many vet bills and headaches had we known it was the box style when the problem first occurred...and re-occurred....and occurred again until we figured out what it was.

My cats also insist on a lot of space in their litter box. I have the largest cat box I can get that takes 15lbs of litter to fill for one medium sized cat. The other takes a smaller, but still quite large box. Any smaller and they will not use them. They also refuse to share a single box :/

I hope you feel better. I take meds for my anxiety ( non narcotic) stay away from seroquel and xanex. I take buspirone not sure if I spelled it right but close enough. It really helped me alot.
I am also here cuz watching these videos distract me from anything that is giving me anxiety. It has gotten severe lately to where I can't eat and I get so stressed that I throw up. These videos are so helpful when it comes to keeping me calm. Also, I absolutely adore cats (I have 6).

Same. Except mine loves to go in it several times in a row just to fuck that litter up. The other one is just a scratcher and spends 10 minutes throwing litter around inside the box.
Mine fling litter too but really only in the downstairs litterboxes. The upstairs litter isn't bad but I placed a large tray under the box to contain the small amount that does travel. They only fling like 1/10 the amount of what it thrown from the downstairs boxes.
For real my mom and dad's cat will sometimes go halfway into the litter box, and then just kick litter out using her front paws. Just for fun. Just for the purpose of kicking litter out. At least she doesn't seem to eat the litter anymore.
Same mine can dig up the whole litter box over night. The iggloo may be a good idea i use clumping litter though.

3x5 industrial carpet like you wipe you're feet on in 99% of stores, you can vacuum it, you can hose it down, the rubber ones with raised hairs, knocks Mud off boots, sure it can handle this, and it really traps the mud,rocks,and everything else.🤔 But I'm just a guy with a GED, what do I know.

Trust me, cat poop is no joke.
I have a CatGenie litter box robot that crushes the poop, flushes it into the toilet, and then washes and blow dries the litter. The litter is small biodegradable plastic-like pellets that are reused. I use about a cereal box amount for a whole year. It starts washing about 15 minutes after the cats poop.

you can tell how good these people are by the relationship they have with their cats.
Litter box liners are amazing for keeping the ammonia from sinking into the plastics. I also recommend the litter genie it’s a life saver. I also put a layer of arm and hammer at the bottom of the box after I’ve lined the box then litter on top of the arm and hammer. It really really helps. Also helps if you sprinkle into granulated litter it makes clumps so it’s easier to scoop out.

I am so jealous of all the cat products you guys have in Japan. Canada doesn't have nearly as many but is more towards dogs in terms of what they sell. The have specialty Halloween treats for dogs everywhere, but none for cats. It just really feels like cats are an after thought marketing wise.

Mushu yeah, I've learned cats don't actually like the cover litter boxes much with other cats around, makes them feel trapped and vulnerable to ambush.

It depends on the cats. I have an open litter box, a large top entry litter box and a dome and they use that one the most.
For my cats I need a box with high walls because when they cover their poop the litter flies over the edge of the litter box, no matter what size.
