This is the last video of rebuilding the Dana 44 and ARB Air Locker, however this didn't end without a fight. While rebuilding the D44 rear axles with new seals and bearings one fought me to the bitter end by not coming off. Then I broke a screw off in the differential cover. I then wanted to change the cabin air filter but the noticed that the door was broken and that no longer works. This JKU seems to be needing a lot of work as the Easter Eggs are starting to come out.

Good to see you got the JK back up and running.👍👍👊
Nice WD40 tip. I'm going to do this tomorrow with our Milwaukee's at work. Also that paint color is amazing once it gets into the sunlight.
Best thing ever for cleaning tools
Love the video. Keep em coming. Your videos are how things really are. Not one of these extreme terrain videos that make you think you can rebuild an engine in 20 minutes. Thanks for keeping me entertained brother.
Thanks for sharing the tool care tip using WD40!!
👍👍
Once you've drilled the larger hole in retainer, it will spring open a lil. Then use screwdriver in slot to pry and slide off. Drive the inner race off with cold chisel.
2013 JKU went thru a period of cruise control working when it felt like. No problem found but, I did play with the fuse and haven't had a problem for years. Don't know, if it works I ain't gonna fix it.
great video, I learned a ton about the gear break-in in detail, I've got a project coming up to use your info (jk dana 30 regear up to 456 and ARB, dana 44 regear up to 456 and trutrac (Yukon Gears))
I prefer to use the smaller dremel cutoff disks for cutting bearing races and such off. Yes they break quite a bit easier and you go through them quite a bit quicker but I feel I can be more precise with them and have less chance of nicking a machined surface. But that's just me.
You did awesome as usual good job recording as well I know it was difficult to do while working on the ground!!
Damn Jerry rough go at it today. Overall success tho and the JK is once again roadworthy, on or off.
Couldn't agree more on the wd40, its a great all purpose fluid. Not many people know how great it is at cleaning. Great vids as always brother. MFBT!
Hey Jerry, on your circulation door it looks to be the actuator. The little plastic teeth on the gear are probably broken. There's plenty of videos on TH-cam on how to replace it. Doesn't look like too hard of a replacement.
The door is actually broken at the actuator
A lot going on in this video,, awesome!!!!
I Have a 04 rubicon and I feel like there’s always something to fix or wrench on always.
Nice work. The entire world is staggering from one shit show to another. Our lives are just a microcosm of the bigger shit show.
Can you not pin the recirc door open for a temp measure?
Not idea, but at least you'll get fresh air in the truck.
Wow great vid !!!
Ok, stupid question Jerry. When I upgraded to Dana 44’s front and rear I put on close to 500 miles of city driving and drained the gear oil and removed the covers to check the gears. Should you wait until the break-in is complete before you engage the lockers for a test?
You should avoid 4x4ing and towing while doing the brake it but you can engage the lockers and test without driving the unit unless you have a locker that auto locks
Evening. 🤓👍🏼
Love the tip on the wd40, also what is that little bolt extractor you were using? Is that a simple easy out?
it is a easy out indeed
Why no Infrared images with your Flir C5 of the differential temps?!?!
The camera only takes photos no video which kind of sucks
One other thing you need Jerry, is a haircut :-). Also, why the wait time before test drives?
More Easter Eggs to find 😂😂😂
Ah we don't need recirc to often in our climate anyway
At least it's drawing outside air so no issues there
I’m sold on Amsoil.
yo bro
Wd40 swells rubber if u care
