These are the result of an intense Disney auction that felt longer than a trip around the world, Allison emerged victorious, sporting a look that could only be described as 'thrilled disbelief.' Rumor has it she had more screens open than a tech convention, all while juggling her phones and laptops like a seasoned circus performer. With determination fueled by both passion and a generous glass of wine, she battled for those coveted Small World Disney treasures as if they were the last churros on Earth. The roller coaster of emotions left her screaming, hyperventilating, and laughing-sometimes all at once-( me as well ! )transforming her dolly room into a carnival of chaos. Amidst bid limits that came and went like parade floats, Allison emerged as the proud owner of a dress and a head. No, not a human head (that would be a very different auction), but a head from the magical world of Small World Disney. But as the digital dust settled, amidst all the chaos and her borderline reckless consumption of wine, Allison emerged victorious - the proud owner of a Disney dress and a disembodied Disney head. And as the virtual confetti settled, she knew that her doll room was set be the happiest place on Earth.Congraulations Allison. :)
😂😂😂 I'm going to save this to put in my will for whoever I will this to 😂😂😂
@@MunecasPoupeesDolls lmaooo... thats how much fun it was to watch !! :)
Lol! 😄😄
I feel this needs to be a storybook
❤😂❤
the skin zipper is kinda terrifying, but their faces are so precious wow!
🤣🤣
Take a shot every time I say "grimey" 😅
Also, when I said it was one of the more expensive I meant to say less expensive, it sold for the least of all the heads.
Looking more at it after the video I think the eyes actually are original, they have some interesting cracks in them that would be consistent I think with blinking eyelids and being in use.
😂😂😂😂
I’m vote for clean it!!! The dress looks like polyester satin which cleans up beautifully. You don’t want that stuff in your air & next to your other items. I’ve been cleaning antique & vintage clothing almost my whole life, it usually cleans up great.
Thank you for the advice 💜💜
I'm very happy for you and I can't wait to see it with a body, the dress and a wig..😉💜
Thank you so much I'm so excited about this project, 😍
I'm glad this all arrived in good order. I remember your excitement when you won both bids...you almost blew out my speakers...it was great to hear and see. Now that they have arrived, it is wonderful to see your joy.
Hahhahah sorry about your speakers 😆
I’m not familiar with Small World at all so I was shocked at how big the head is !
It was shocking even to me even though I knew what to expect 😆
I would clean it starting with a soft cloth and then you could test at the back with a damp cloth. I would hand wash the dress too and roll in a towel and lay flat to dry on a towel. Congratulations!
Thank you so much! At a minimum I will try to remove carefully some of the surface soil because it's really bad 😆
Sending you belated congratulations on this grail acquisition. Old clothes can be laundered, but it's dependent on the fabric composition and current condition of the fabric. I look forward to seeing her with a new body and dressed.
So glad you did this. Was too much fun (and anxiety provoking) to watch the auction. Your excitement was so rewarding. We cheered along with you. Fun to see the unboxing and the details. Very cool head and endearing face. Think you won the best! . Bet your ideas for body, clothing, hair will be awesome! Of COURSE they will be. Psyched for you.
Thank you so much for coming on this journey and you know what, I think you're right, I think mine is the best! Has the most character of all the ones that were for sale and probably had the most park usage. I'm so happy 😍😍
I watched you win the auctions. I am glad you showed the opening. They did a awesome job packing❤ The head is larger than I thought it would be. Awesome!
They really did do a great job packing, I'm very impressed with the auction house and the way they ran everything. I would definitely do business with them again (but not too soon because I'm broke now 🤣)
How did you win that?@@MunecasPoupeesDolls
I remember screaming when you won them at auction that was so exciting and this is now even more exciting wow!!! I did not realize its rubber. I was scare as you folded it back to show inside. is there any way the rubber would crack . I think the eyes are additions, because the whites are extremally clean for being outside. Oh Allison this is such an amazing and happy watch. I love Kitty sat on the dress but what can we do nothing! all cats need to approve of our dolls and related items.Maybe you could ask one of your Spanish doll factories you visited to make a special wig, Thankyou so much for this wonderful video xxx
I’m so jealous RN, I love their faces it’s the whole reason I even have Pollyanna dolls.
There is something so magical about them 😍
I am so excited for you! Can’t wait to see what Sandy and her family come up with for the body.
Thank you so much Kathy, I'm really excited to see how this project ends up 😍
This is epic! Congrats! And good luck with the modifications/additions!
Congratulations getting her look so nice and cute with the lovely dress.
🎀💜💜
Thank you so much 💜
So wonderful to see the items. It’s going to be quite a large size doll once you’ve got the body. Really looking forward to seeing it. 🎉
I'm so excited it's all coming together 😍😍
So pleased for you Alison! Really great to see them IRL after the excitement of the auction video. Can’t wait to see them put together with the body and wig xx
Thank you so much I can't wait either 😍😍
Sooooo exciting!!!!
💜💜💜💜💜
I'm so happy for you!! I would take the dress to a dry cleaner, if it were me.
That's a good idea
wow, the head is WAY bigger than i was expecting! Thanks for sharing your joy with us.
Thank you for watching 💜
Congrats!!!
💜💜💜
Realizing a collecting dream come true is so amazing! I would want to clean the pieces too. I feel your trepidation there. I would definitely proceed just very carefully. I am really looking forward to your progress videos and the final reveal. Congratulations!
Thank you so much!! I'm so excited 😍😍
Love it!
💜💜
Love it!!!!! ❤
I'm so excited you want to be a part of this project with me 😍😍😍😍
I'm so excited for you, I can't wait to see more videos about this doll! I have watched your channel for a long time and know you have wanted one of these dolls forever!
Yesssss!!! I can't wait to show the final product 😍
That is an original genuine world’s fair head! Congrats!
😱😱 how can you tell it's from the world's fair? The auction said it was Disneyland used in the 90's but I do they moved the world's fair attraction there - omg how exciting that mine is one of the ORIGINAL originals 😍😍😍
@@MunecasPoupeesDolls The eyebrow shape. Most of the ones post 1971 (which is Magic Kingdom’s) have a different eyebrow shape compared to this one. And on those ones, they are all the same, while these older ones for World’s fair & Disneyland (of 1964 & 66 respectively) have different and more unique eyebrow shapes. For more information, just look up pictures of Small World dolls & their heads.
Thanks for sharing the opening!! Can’t wait to see what sandy and her family can make for you!!
Thank you so much for watching 💜
Loved every second of the his jouney with you.
Thank you so much for coming along with me 💜💜
Congratulations! I know you have waited a long time for this. Hard choice on the cleaning issue. I'm not an expert, so I can only say that if it were my decision, I would base it on whether the item is dirty enough to affect my enjoyment of it or whether the dirt might affect the long term "health" of the item. If I decided to clean, I would definitely get an expert opinion on how to do it. Enjoy! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.😊
Thank you so much! I think I'll try some light cleaning just to get rid of surface soil myself and then the rest I'll just leave as is.
So so cool! I think I'd have to clean the head a little, and as long as the dress doesnt smell, I'd probably not worry about cleaning it.
It doesn't smell so that's good - I think I'll leave it as is but try to clean the head up a little.
Personally I wouldn’t clean the dress at least. It’s part of the story. No matter what you decide I’m excited to see her on a body! So awesome that she’s getting a new life.
I like that idea, also worried I may ruin it by cleaning it so I think I'll leave it alone. I will try to lightly clean the head I think just because it's soooo dirty.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. Watching the auction I was so nervous, and excited at the same time.. This gives my heart such joy seeing someone get a dream come true… Enjoy 💜💜,, looking forward to his progress updates .
Thank you so much!! I don't know if I've been that nervous since highschool when I was trying to win but here we are 🎉🎉
Congratulations!🎉🎉🎉 I know I’d clean it a little, even the dress. I think it’ll still look old. So exciting!!!
I'm sooooo happy 😍
Oh Allison, it's so much fun to you turn pink with joy while you're opening your Grail! lololol I'm so happy for you! Wow! A zipper! Who knew?!
It would be fun to install eyelids and a mechanism to get the doll to blink.
I'd try to clean it. I'd use a gentle cleaning agent, like cold cream or Goop and rub a very small amount on the back of the head and then wipe with a white paper towel to see if it really improves the look of the vinyl. Likewise, I'd soak part of the back of the dress in water with just a little Woolite and then rinse and blot with a towel to see if it makes a big change. I wouldn't clean it completely, I'd leave a good bit of the working ride grime on it. I bet that an auction house would tell you to keep the items exactly the way they came, though.
I don't know that much about Small World, though I'm a giant fan of both Mary Blair and Marc Davis, but I feel sure that Small World was created for the 1964 New York World's Fair.
I think you're gonna need a massive wig for the head -- it's enormous! It wouldn't be hard to make a yarn wig and it would be fun to watch you give it a try!
Small world was definitely created for the world's fair, I love going back and watching old videos from the fair it's so interesting. I have started carefully cleaning the head and I think I will do a very light wash with woolite. Someone suggested dry cleaning but I'm honestly too afraid to leave it somewhere like that 😆
I would clean the dress, Twin Pines of Maine products. I bet you can find video clips of the ride to tell what the dress is.
I've watched A LOT of clips but can't quite nail it down 🤣
I’m excited to be on this project with you. The head is awesome.
Thank you so much I cannot wait til it's done 😍😍
If I were you I would turn the doll into my own character
💜💜
So cool! I would definitely want to carefully clean the head but that's just me. Congratulations, I was really excited for you to win this!
I'm working on cleaning and it's working pretty well so far 🤞
Can’t wait to see where you go with this‼️
Wish me luck 😍😍
Congratulations! You could look into how museum curators clean / restore artifacts for conservation. Typically they use very gentle methods to clean items.
Thank you for the advice 💜💜
Congratulations and thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you so much for watching 💜
So happy for you Allison! I wonder if there is anyone in the doll community or an artist who could authentically restore the head?
I've been working on carefully cleaning myself and so far it's going pretty well 🤞
That is awesome! I can’t wait to see the head on a body!
Me tooooooo 😆😆
Congratulations Allison. ❤
Thank you 💜💜
I mean… it’s DISNEY grime, so it’s basically magic pixie dust. 😊
🤣🤣🤣 you ain't wrong 😂😂😂
Congrats! What a neat grail piece...Enjoy! (If it were me, I'd probably clean very gently the worst ick off 🙂)
Yes I agree, it's just a little too icky for my sensibilities 😆
How cool!!
Thank you 💜💜
Congratulations Beautiful!!!!!!!!
Thank you 💜💜
I'm so happy for you
Thank you so much 💜💜
That's a 1st-a head unzipping! Would def clean it. Make sure Pimento doesn't eat any packing peanuts please.
Thank you for the advice 💜💜
Oh wow, I thought the head was made of wood. 😯
Silicon rubber 😍 they zip it up around the mechanical animatronic
yesss ive been so excited for this video!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I maybe would lightly clean it with a microfiber cloth, and if needed a tiny bit of water, just don’t scrub or use any solvents. But I wouldn’t even recommend water! 😊 saying as a Disney collector!
I like that idea, just to remove some of the surface stuff so that everytime I touch it doesn't leave black marks everywhere.
those seem to be original eyes. based on all the doll closeup photos i have, they look exactly the same. it’s too bad they took the eyelids out though
That's awesome! Would you mind sharing your closeup photos? Are they online anywhere? Or could you email them to me? Thank you so much 💜💜
It would be interresting to identify this exact doll in old pictures from the attraction.
I have looked and looked and haven't been able to uncover much. Supposedly it was at Disneyland sometime in the 80s-90s and I think less people were taking pics inside of attractions back then bc of film and all. But gosh it would be amazing to find one 😍
Can you please do a unboxing when it comes back with a body
I wouldn't Clean it because it takes away the charm And it might get ruined or so dulled the colors
Definitely I will 💜💜
💜💜Pls keep it unzipped it doesn’t shrink and rip
Wow I had no idea it had a zipper in the back of the head. It’s very interesting. I cannot wait to see what kind of body Sandy creates for him/her. It’s a big size head. So I guess the body will have to fit the dolls size head. What size body will he have. Also will you keep it as a boy or change it to a girl? It’s an antique piece won’t it lose its value once you alter it it any way and add a body to it? I think doing that will make it lose its value. Just in case you ever plan on reselling it in the future. It won’t match the original COA. Have you given this any thought?
The small world dolls are around 3 feet tall so that's about what the body will be - with dolls like this you can easily take the head off and on, just like they mounted it to this wooden base, it easily comes off. Same with a doll body, it will be easy to take off if I needed to in the future 💜
@@MunecasPoupeesDolls that’s a nice size doll. It’s great that you can take the head off the doll whenever necessary. Thank you for letting me know.
I would have the dress cleaned. The grime is not good for the fabric.
Thank you for the advice 💜💜
I have some original heads- I have the measurements if you need them
i would say clean it so its not dirty but dont retouch anything
Thank you for the advice 💜💜
Where did you get that?
Oh yeah you won the auction
