    I'm really glad I came across your videos. My wife and I have just moved from Hawaii to Las Vegas and Kay Bee is one of the Builders we are considering should we go the new build route. You've done a super job giving us some valuable insights as we move through our decision process. Looking forward to part 3. 🤩

    This video was so helpful! My husband and I are going to start with a new construction. We are so excited

      Congratulations!! It is definitely an exciting process. We are scheduled to close in about 2 weeks so I'll be posting an update about that whole process soon!

    We've just signed on with KB Homes here in Florida. We have our Design meetings set and your video was extremely helpful. Did you have a pre construction meeting by chance? We thought we heard something about that, but have not had anything scheduled yet. Thanks!!

      Congratulations!! I hope the process goes smoothly for you. We did not have a pre-construction meeting outside of the design meetings.

    How much were you upgrades overall? We just signed on a lot in Austin and are trying to see what we will do and what to budget!

      Congratulations!! It ended up being around 18k in upgrades, and we were luckily able to get most of what we really wanted. However, we did end up having to add on sprinklers after that (we didn't know those didn't come standard) so in all I want to say it was around 22k.

    Thank you for sharing your experience, this is very helpful. We are debating between standard, tile and LVP, but we are getting numbers all over the place online. I'm curious what was the price difference between tile and LVP flooring?

    • @theadeyz
      @theadeyz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We decided to go with tile because we liked those options better, so we didn't actually get numbers for LVP. We did end up doing tile for our entire first floor (as opposed to carpet in some areas), so in all it was about 7k to do that.

    Thanks for sharing your experience! It sounds like my wife and I are in a pretty similar situation to you guys, moving from out of state from a smaller place to a much bigger KB home in Texas. I’m curious what budget you have set aside for furnishing the house once you move in?

    • @theadeyz
      @theadeyz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congratulations!! We're planning to go slow and take our time for the furnishings since the house (like your sitatuion) is much bigger than where we currently live. We're setting aside an extra 5k for immediate needs like laundry machines, lawn mower, ceiling fans, stuff like that. I hope the process goes smoothly for you!

    May I ask how long is the process? From loan apprroval to actually turn over of the house?

      It took about nine months in total for us, from signing the very first documents to closing.

    Did you have to pay an up front fee for the upgrades?

  • @kerryhaun9174

    Did you get the option to pick a fenced backyard or how does that work? Grass? Just curious

    • @theadeyz
      @theadeyz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the community we bought in, a fenced yard came with all the homes and it can't be changed. Not sure about other communities though. And yes it also came with sod landscaping!

    How do y get the budget

    • @theadeyz
      @theadeyz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We just tried to figure out how much we could afford along with which things were most important to us to figure out a budget that was reasonable.

    Hey hey, I am buying in Houston and just wanting to know your experience at the Design Center.
    I’m wondering if 20k is enough for upgrades.😑😕

    • @theadeyz
      @theadeyz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh absolutely!! You'll definitely be able to get most everything you want with that amount, in my opinion.

      Be careful with these kb home guys, they change your upgrades mid through your construction citing unavailability of products or materials with or without notice. Try to stay keep your upgrades within the limit .
