Really great tool!! I just recently was listening to a lecture on parenting as taught by the sages of the Torah and it was mentioned that story telling is the most powerful tool to implement our values and beliefs

I did this recently instead of my typical lecturing lesson, and my kids sat and listened without a moment of defensiveness. It was a “smack in the face” moment for me!

Love it! My husband builds lego characters with my 5yo, and they they engage in many adventures and he often add some important life lessons in the stories

I love the point you are making, but must admit that i am chronically sleep deprived and struggle with making coherent sentences, let alone come up with fun stories like the one you opened with. Could you poasibly make a "cheat-sheet" video (here or in the studio) to give examples of stories on some common challenges (e.g. giving up when something feels too hard; hating "boring" exercises in school or sport; talking back rudely; feeling rejected by friends; hating the school; not wanting to do the chores etc...), for those of us with lesser imagination to be able to reach for in those moments?

yes! In fact, we're thinking of making a #FamStories project in the Studio! But we have so many amazing projects coming up in the next two quarters, so maybe right after that. Stay tuned!

    Thanks for this great reminder!
We read lots of books, retelling the stories from those characters is so easy!

Our 7yo daughter, who lives halfway inside the world of fantasy (her own imagination) most of the time, and consequently has an exceptionally difficult time telling the truth if it doesn't serve her (or her narrative) in that moment. Thank you for this video! I'm trying to think of how we can use this concept/method to change that behavior while still encouraging her beautiful imagination and self-esteem! 🤔

Ah you reminded me about this storytelling video, Avital! It helps with other storytelling aspects. th-cam.com/video/t5Z-Q1bg1tU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-CcMV-EPW297-g_P
Don't forget you also have the STAR format and others.

Yep. Jesus did this. As I read my Bible, I'm amazed at the wisdom found there. Stories captivate. And lead people to redemption. To ACTUAL CHANGE FOR GOOD. what a concept. The oldest found. Try it. Read the book.
