    Ahhhh the dark art of motorcycle electricory.... not bad , you had to use the original to find out what went where and then where it moved to ..lol ... nice idea on the single feed and ground wires . In my opinion most bikes are really over complicated where wiring is concerned. I did a rewire on a 750 virago a few years back ..that was very entertaining as it had a UK and US spec wiring harnesses half arsed mated together ..no wonder it never ran both used different colour wires .. I stripped and rewired it and removed all the unnecessary crap that was put in by the makers .. well done the build is moving forwards ..

      It sure is a dark art, and a giver of great satisfaction when you finally get everything to run!
      That Virago sounds like a nightmare, probably a great choice to rip everything out and start over, just to keep your sanity.
      Thank you for your comment and nice words, that's what's moving this build forward! ✌️🤘

      Haha, I guess you could say that! I have dreamt of running a m-unit but that would double the cost of this build. They are just too damn expensive and doesn't give enough value to me.

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven't felt comfortable releasing a full wiring diagram, since I haven't really ridden the bike enough to conform it actually works as intended. I really don't want to be responsible for setting someone else's bike on fire. 😅
      There are lots of wiring diagrams floating around, and the service manual has the full factory one.

    Ciao sono Italiano e ho un suzuki savage dell’89 .. Purtroppo non so come rimediare un cablaggio nuovo per l ‘ impianto elettrico che mi si è bruciato.. e non trovo nessuno che mi possa aiutare.. tu riusciresti ad inviarmi un cablaggio nuovo? Attendo info

      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, my reply has to be in English since my Italian is really bad. 🙂
      I'm sorry, but I wouldn't be able to make a wiring harness and send it to you. They are hard enough to make with the bike in front of you.
      The tip I can give you is to get a copy of the service manual, you can find it online for free. In there they have wiring diagrams for all the different years. If you know anyone who knows a little about electronics they should be able to use that to help you, or have a go at it yourself! The wiring of these bikes are fairly simple so I think you would be able to pull it off!
      Good luck and I hope you get your Savage sorted! ✌️

    How did you delete the killswitch? I tried today but I’m having a headache with the wiring 🥲

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Captain! Are you trying to only remove the kill switch? How far did you get?
      I would say that you should just pull the two wires going into the switch and connect them, bypassing the switch.
      Do you have access to the wiring diagram in the Clymer manual? The wiring is a bit different depending on the year of your bike.
