The saturation on the kick and bass guitar in the first song bring me life. As do Afie’s guitar runs.
Explain saturation more because I loved the tone as well
@@candersonll saturation can give a dirty or raspy element to certain instruments, but the ears hear it as just being more present, slightly less clean. I'm not a pro, but if you google "mixing with saturation" there are some awesome videos that explain it more clearly with examples!
@@candersonll with the kick and bass, it specifically lets you hear the front end of the note, which shows off these musician's awesome timing.
I just sat here wondering if my sound was being weird because the crunchy drums caught me off guard, love it

Either there's something wrong with the gain staging on my listening rig, or the levels were too hot on the recording side. A bit too much distortion and compression on this one I think
I think it might be intensional. That and a lot of elements of the kit are kinda trashy sounding, like the hi-hat with the chain on it. To me as a drummer, the kit sounds like it looks.
You know you've made it when you can google your own lyrics.
