Small reminder, Ymir died around 2000 years ago but the king was pushed back to Paradis only about 100 years ago so Ymir was dead long before Helos was around.
13 was mentioned when the time limit was revealed as being how long Ymir Fritz had the power for before dying.

Sorry guys, your timeline recollection is a bit wobbly. A summary:
1. Many, MANY centuries ago "the devil of all Earth" gave the human Ymir titan powers; the first human to possess such a thing.
2. This made Ymir's people incredibly powerful. "I have an army" vs. "We have a Ymir." Literal OP.
3. Depending on whether you believe Marley or Eldia's pov, the empire that Ymir founded either went on to commit massive genocide and oppression, or gave the world bridges, roads, and innovation. The truth is likely both.
4. Ymir eventually dies; we do not yet know how but what is known is she only lived 13 years after becoming a titan (origin of the curse of Ymir, where every intelligent 9 only lives 13 years after gaining a titan). Upon her death her powers are split into the intelligent 9.
5. Eldia, using the 9 (who each only live 13 years) and their respective successors in future generations, continue to rule and dominate the known world for centuries.
6. But a little over 100 years ago something called the "Great Titan War" occurs. This is the turning point when Marley goes from oppressed to victor/bully.
7. The war results in Marley obtaining 7 of 9 intelligent powers to their side (via collaborative Eldians since Marleyans themselves can't become titans) and the Eldian king taking most of his people and relocating to the island of Paradis.
8. The Eldian king takes the founder with him and the possesser of the Attack Titan is a mystery until Eren Kruger reveals it was passed down in his family.
9. The Marleyan hero "Helos", and the Eldian blood traitors the Tybur family each played a role in the war ending and Marley being victorious.
10. In recognition for their aid during war, Tyburs are bestowed eternal privilege status by Marley despite being ethnic Eldians. But all other stray Eldians are rounded up and confined to ghetto-like internment zones.
11. But the twist of this episode is that Tyburs are actually the shadow rulers of Marley - who are allowing Marley the freedom to bully and conquer other nations using the powers of the 7 (but actually 5 now because Annie/Bertholdt, but actually 4 now because the War Hammer never actually fights in wars).
So you guys thinking that the hero Helos and the Tyburs had a hand in killing Ymir is centuries off, timeline-wise. Whether the defeated humanoid under Helo's statue is the devil of all Earth though, we shall see.

Unfortunately idk if they see any comments, or even if someone tells them about any. So idk if they'll get your assistance. But I think they might understand their mix-up in retrospect, which has happened before. There's a lot of new lore happening in this/these episodes so it might just a second for them to contextualize everything. Willy's show will probably help.

About missing important details, a friend of mine thought AoT ended when they got to the basement. He didn't know there were more episodes that followed because he didn't watch the after credit scene. We were doing a watch party together and he was so confused when I talked about how we had to watch until after the credits. I've mentioned this to other people too - that you need to watch until the 'to be continued' screen and to never skip openings and endings - but I think when people are doing their binge watches, they're so busy consuming, they're fine with skipping what they think is unimportant, but in this show **everything is important**. My SIL missed the beginning of the Levi v Kenny fight because she skipped the opening. Makes me sad.
A lot of people do not read the info that pops up in the middle of every episode as well, that also has a lot to give
You should ALWAYS skip openings with AoT, because they all manage to spoil important plot points, in every season.

All jokes aside, this episode really puts into perspective how bad things are for the Eldian people. Udo mentions that there are Camps like the ones in Marley all over the world. And compared to how the rest of the world treats them, they're actually treated the best in Marley. Which is such a scary thought. After all of the things we've seen Marley do, everything with Sergeant Gross, and it turns out the rest of the world somehow treats Eldians WORSE than all of that. It's so sad too. They're treated like garbage, but they think, "At least we're not anywhere else in the world." A lot of people seem to miss this. But taking out Marley definitely won't end the problem.
And to make matters worse, the one day Reiner feels the smallest sprinkle of happiness is the day Eren shows up on his doorstep. That man's suffering doesn't end
hatred will always be present in humanity, however sometimes it is necessary to take desperate measures to protect the people one loves
All that hatred will come back and haunt humanity...
Yet he got the plot armor.

I don't know how many people would be into this but I would love to see a rewatch reaction, even if it's podcast style where you guys talk about all the hints and everything you notice when you rewatch all the episodes. If you do decide to rewatch everything after you're caught up I would love to hear your thoughts about each episode!
I just think aot is so amazing on a rewatch and it's super interesting to hear discussions about how brilliantly they foreshadow things. The channel A Brother Reacts did this and you guys have such great discussions that I think a rewatch reaction would be super fun!

In the manga, in the conversation between zeke, magath and next beast titan, they explain that ackermans were eldians who were subjects of experiments by titan researchers, and they have a titan strenght in a human sized body

Ackermann blood doesn't cause a debuff on shifters. Kenny was Uri's bodyguard and himself a shady character. and --- given that Griesha got past him on his way to massacre the royal family and steal the founding titan power under his watch... that would make Kenny incredibly suspicious of anyone - shifter or not.

I have never seen anyone giving Annie so much importance in season 4. The focus should be on the fact that Tyburs who are Eldians are actually running Marley from shadow giving all the powers to Marley and letting them oppress Eldians throughout the country.

Grisha did not learn exactly how Faye died from Kruger on top of the wall. He learned it from Grice when he was recruited to the restorationists.
With regard to appearance, I've been noticing a hair color thing for a long while now. Every royal family member that I've seen so far has either bright blonde hair or black/dark hair. Not sure what this means, if anything. I've also noticed that Bertholdt seems to have some very common male Eldian genes. I used to wonder if Kruger and Bert were related cuz they looked so similar. But since then I've seen so many random Eldian extras that look very similar to Bert and Kruger. I think it's awesome that they're using realistic genetic similarities and it makes the animation even more impressive. Reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in that way. I was impressed that no matter how old Ed and Al were, they looked like themselves and also look definitely related. That's so insane to do in animation because there are so few lines drawn. Incredible.
The Ackerman clan was originally created using the power of Founding Titan as the royal family to serve as royal guards. When they awaken to their inner power, they can use their giant's powers in human form. However, the Ackermann clan was stripped of their position and exiled for rebelling against the royal family by appealing to fight against Marley during the Titan War 100 years ago. It is also why Kenny Ackerman once went around killing Central Military Police soldiers.

Even though the twists/reveals in AoT are great I actually don't think they're as complicated as AutoSave's theories 😅Ofc I love their discussions but they go on tangents with stuff I've never heard other reactors do, lol. Eren explained in 3x21 that the 13 year rule exists due to the fact that ymir died 13 years after inheriting the power of the titans, therefore it is only appropriate that everyone who has the power lives that long too.

The last name of blond guy who recruited Grisha to the restorationist is Grice.

So I’m gonna get ripped apart in the comments but it might be beneficial for you guys to watch the dub of the scenes between Magath and Willy Tybur.
There’s a lot of sarcasm and hidden meaning in that conversation that can be hard to pick up on when you’re just reading the text and aren’t used to picking up on tone in Japanese speech.

The most important thing to learn in this episode is that Marley is run by Eldian family. And that the whole world loves Willie, even when the whole world hates eldians in general. Quite a paradox
30:10 that was a great theory, but to be very specific: it wasn't the Ackerman race those people were trying to exploit. They called Mikasa's mother an Eastern/Asian/Oriental (depending on your translation), which is also the same thing they called the woman who saved the young warrior candidate after he spilled wine on her.
It's easy to get that confused, though, since honestly both Levi and Kenny look as "Asian" as Mikasa and her do, but Mikasa's father was actually the Ackerman in the family.
41:00 You might be surprised to learn that Anna's father is no where near alone in this! Early in Season 3, one of the conspirators against the scouts describes the things they've done to keep the peace in the walls.
It's really easy to miss, but they actually show Erwin's father imprisoned in that flashback. And damned if that dude does not look *exactly* like Zeke did for a moment.
Of course, Grisha already confirmed that Zeke was Eren's half-brother towards the end of Season 3, so her father definitely missed that. But it was a common theory when it was happening live!

I feel like this still makes sense in the context of this episode of AOT: the cake is a lie
Grisha learned about how Faye was killed by the restorationists when they first recruited him, not by Kruger. Grice tells Grisha that theres something he needs to know when he meets Grisha at his clinic. He learns about her murder, and then joins the restorationists. The only thing regarding Faye's death that happens on the wall when the restorationists are caught is Grisha confronting the other Marley soldier whose dogs ate her.
Like 99% wrong reading of the episode, timelines, again mixing what made Mikasa special, it wasn't her Ackerman lineage. No discussion about the house story??? But still very fun to watch. Luckily the next episode will clear a lot of it.

The Ackermans are Eldian. The reason we've never seen them become titans is because they were created to have the power of the titans in human form. That's why Levi, Mikasa and Kenny are so strong. They are Eldian but they just can't turn into titans

I used to love their deep discussion but at this point it became a push down for some of the big anticipation on upcoming reaction. They'll underlined things that meant to be a flash for viewers. Some of those important crumbs was not supposed to tell you what's really going on but rather misdirection to hype up any resolve or reveal.
Isayama put small clues everywhere as puzzles to sometimes confused and misdirect readers so any resolve in the story would felt bigger than it should. Before that happened we're supposed to understand nothing of what is to come.
What? 😂 Sorry, normally both of you are really really good in interpreting AoT but this episode was not your best ... (I hope you will realize it while editing). Just 2 points:
1. What Annie meant was that she just has reached the limits in FINDING the Founding Titan/King of the Walls in the Interior. She almost got caught by Kenny who was working for Reiss, the King who they thought has the Founding Titan (they didn't know that Grisha had stolen it 5 years ago). And because Kenny WAS AROUND it was difficult or almost impossible To FIND the King, not making her weak (a bouncer doesn't make you weak, he just doesn't let you in). Therefore, they/Reiner decided to take a radical step by breaking the next wall in the hope that the Founding Titan will reveal himself this time.
2. The Tyburs are Eldians because they and everyone else said it. They also have the War Hammer TItan so they MUST be Elidans. And how could Annie have the War Hammer Titan when she didn't show it and the military didn't said it and and and? Just from logical point of view

It's xsad to how the Eldians colonised and killed billions of people leading to others seeing them as devils. Also sad that an Eldian arranged this festival and a Titan/Eldian killed the organiser in front of the whole leading to the world being reminded of the threat and bringing the world together against Paradis. I wonder what would have happened if Eren hadn't attacked? I wonder what the world of AOT would have been like if Ynir never got the Titan Power?

It was NOT the Eldians of Paradise who did that, it was their ancestors and King Fritz, the Eldians of Paradise did not know that, they are not to blame and they do not deserve to die, the fact that Eren attacked first was a strategic decision, besides, he The world had already declared war on paradise, so technically Eren weren't the start, it was them.

I'm sorry, but again AOT reactors (Anna this time) confuses the Ackerman bloodline as an East Asian people. That's Mikasa's MOM's side. Mikasa, like most children, inherited her father's last name. Levi only inherited his mom's last name because his biological father is an anonymous brothel clientele.
Mikasa's parentage was made known before the "they-were-on-an-island-all-along" S3 reveal, which made the extreme rarity of "Oriental" people on the show make sense. Since practically all island dwellers inside the three walls are Eldians who came there with the defeated Eldian king post Great Titan War, their ethnic homogeneity makes sense. That's why Mikasa's mom's race made her so overvalued in the black market sex trade.
This episode shows that all races exist; black, Asian, Middle-easterner, etc., and Mikasa's mom's ancestors probably share ethnicity with the kimono woman who got wine spilled on her. How Asians/Orientals got to Paradis, we don't know yet and aren't supposed to.
The misunderstanding comes from the fact that all the ackerman we've seen have black hair and black eyes and kinda look like each other while Mikasa's father had blonde(?) hair and does not look like either of the 3 ackermans we've seen. Which is pretty weird.

While these two are uncle and nephew, Mikasa's father is their distant relative.

anyway, idk how one descendant of ackerman bloodline has blond hair with golden eyes(Mikasa's father) and all the other ones we've seen have black hair with grey or black eyes.
Unlike let's say the royal bloodline.
