    I have the same muffler on my 03' ram hemi. Sounds really good!

      Thanks. I just replaced the muffler last week with a Lyells stainless "Aggressive muffler" looks like a Flowmaster 10 series but is quiter. Will get a cold Start video and post up in the morning

    what size and brand tires do you have looks good

    • @RKARperformance
      @RKARperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. They are stock size, 275/60/R20 Motormaster Total Terrain A/T3. A Cooper knock off. They are actually made by Cooper tires though. Have had them for 2 years now and they work great in all weather.

    Sounds amazing! Do you have single or dual flowmaster? Also did you remove the catalytic converters?

    • @RKARperformance

      Thanks. It's stock exhaust with a single Flowmaster muffler in this video. I now have a lyells aggressive muffler in it now. Sounds similar.

      @@RKARperformance Why the switch to Lyell's muffler? Is it louder, quieter in the cab? I've been looking at the Lyell's.

    • @RKARperformance
      @RKARperformance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gregharwood4532 sound is very similar inside and out. Think the Flowmaster was a little louder. It had rotted already though. Where the tail pipes and the actual muffler was welded I was already rotting and the tail pipes had broke off. I should have used better metal when I welded them in.

      @RKARperformance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gregharwood4532 I'm probably going to go to the Flowmaster flowFX next. The lyells looks really restrictive honestly. Doesn't seem to have had any negative affects so far though.

      Thanks. Single 3 inch in with dual 2.5 out. Had adapters to go down to 2.25 to math the factory tail pipes. Cats still in for now. Planning to go long time headers and high flow cats soon.

    Very nice sound. Do you get bothered by the OPP often with that setup? It's pretty much impossible to have a custom exhaust on a 5.7 Hemi that does not exceed their 95 dB check mark. Not to mention they don't even have to measure first to give out tickets

    • @RKARperformance
      @RKARperformance  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope it's only loud on cold start or under full throttle. I drive by the opp station everyday and they don't even look at me.

    Straight up 40 series? Not Delta flow or super 40? How is the noise at highway cruising speed, 100-120km/hr? (from Ontario here also lol, hi!)

    • @RKARperformance
      @RKARperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yup just a standard 40 series. Part # 430402 is the muffler I used. It is actually pretty quiet at cruise. Even accelerating its pretty quiet. At least inside the truck it is. I can make another video of cruising and accelerating if you want to hear it.

      @RKARperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Heck if you're near Hamilton I could show you the truck in person. So you can hear it.

    • @konjohnlongshlong5439
      @konjohnlongshlong5439 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be an exhaust leak due to metal or gaskets not sealing until they warm up and expand

    • @konjohnlongshlong5439
      @konjohnlongshlong5439 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it doesn’t go away after warming up it could be lifter tick

    • @MarkNixon-vi6mz
      @MarkNixon-vi6mz 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it goes away after it is warmed up its and exhaust leak at one of the exhaust manifolds or both. Which is common on any 5.7 hemi but it's usually the result of a exhaust manifold bolt being broke either at the very front or very back of the exhaust manifold. New gaskets and bolts should solve that problem. But if the tick doesn't go away after it's warmed up it's a lifter problem and should be fixed as soon as possible in order to keep it from missing or running like shit and to keep the motor from tearing itself apart via metal shavings getting in places they don't belong.

      I leave for work at 4 am. Have neighbour's I like and don't want it too noisy. That exhaust is gone now and have a lyells stainless aggressive muffler on it. Sounds about the same though.
