I am not a fan of this arrangement as it seems to miss the conceptual theme of the lyrics, but it sounds very nice, and y'all sang it well.
thank you.. when we learn this song for the first time, we also feel same with you.. but after our choir director try to see this song from the other way, it’s make huge different feel..

It is supposed to invoke awe and fear of impending divine judgement. This presentation of it feels a bit too upbeat and lacks the ominous character that I think the earlier forms of Dies Irae are better at communicating.
It is literally "Day of Wrath," but I don't really feel that here.
But again, it seems well executed.
