Hi Gemma. I was the guy who spoke to you outside the shop the day that you filmed for this video. It was lovely meeting and chatting to you, it really made my day 😊 Awesome video, keep smashing it ⭐
Billy! Hello. I’m so glad you commented. It was a pleasure to meet you. You were awesome! Was I right in thinking you had Vans on too? If so, LOVED them ❤️
@@TheGebs24 Hehe thank you 😊 I did indeed, well remembered - Vans & Nike are my mains 🙌🏻 I showed my mate the pics btw, he was very jealous 😛 Hopefully I'll catch one of your streams again at some point, maybe I can "backseat game" once again 🤣
Love seeing all of the vhs tapes! Really brings me back to a much simpler yet fun time! So much cool stuff there. TMNT, Wrestling, Ghostbusters and woah! That music cartridge. That’s so odd!
Brilliant episode Gemma, thanks. I was never massive on comics but my father used to pick me up Eagle in the 1980's, some of the stuff in Eagle used to terrify me Lol.
Just recently found your channel, i really enjoyed the content. Its super nostalgic, im glad i found. From a very small island in the south Pacific, thank you for taking me back to a very fond childhood. Times were so much simpler 😊
Favourite Comic ? That's like saying who is your fav child There are a couple that stick in my memory: Superman Vol 1 156 (Oct 62) = Virus X = The Leper from Krypton Action Comics 351 (June 67 >) = Zha-Vam Of course Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, Killing Joke, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen & Watchmen must have a mention.
Awesome as always and really inspiring me to check out more retro stores. I have always loved tmnt show, films, games and figures. In recent months have also got into the comics for the last ronin and Saturday morning adventures
@TheGebs24 I love it and can't wait for the game. As you like the cartoon, you should try the Saturday morning adventure comics as they are in that kind of style
Hello Gebbs, I do hope you had a wonderful Easter❤ Once again it's so good & amazing to see you going into a retro store, Those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figurine toys looked pretty awesome, But the only one that caught my eye was Roger Rabbit on VHS which brought back my childhood memories, Aslo there were NES games too, Super NES & more, I really enjoyed watching this video, See you soon😊❤️🎮🕹🎮
@@TheGebs24 I was in one of local games stores today, just browsing and sure enough I spot a copy of it. Fate or coincidence I grabbed it took it home popped it and and woah, so much fun 🎮😁
Got to love the turtles I had the slippers, rug, those plastic wall turtle signs, some of the figures , the book with the silver coins and more I still have some of the item's but I think my parents have some of the things to my nephew, totally gutted because his mum throws everything out . I'm the opposite I keep everything lol , I love watching you go to all these places, making me want to dig out some items to display too 😁
I'd need to spend a whole day in that shop. I be digging for a good few hours, take a break, then back to the digging 😁 I spend at least two hours in a small shop. I'm terrible for getting owners digging stuff out of storage and giving a list of items I'm after. Never go shopping in a shop like this with me. Even my local CEX (the staff know exactly what I'm going to ask or how I roll)
I love retro things it's awesome this store is amazing love all the games and wrestling and I love the teenage mutant ninja turtles movie the original one, it's all so awesome thank for the video Gemma made my day ❤️❤️😊😊
Fallout 3 was the best! lol I agree! :-) As for favorite comic book... The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. I doubt it will be dethroned in my mind. It is still my favorite.
Never really had a favourite comic, but I did collect fortnightly or monthly stuff like GI Joe, The Real Ghostbusters, Masters Of The Universe and some Transformers etc when I was a wee kid in the 1980's and early 90's.
tbh i stay away from shops like this because for me they always charge more for stuff than what you can get on ebay and other places. i do see why people like looking in them but i am all about the cost. for instance the mega drive hulk is £10 more expensive and fantasia is only 10 quid on ebay average price sold which is enough to tell me not to shop here.
You have a lovely accent and your face is beautiful but I watch your channel because your heart is in the same place as mine when it comes to nostalgic geek shit. Cheers!
An ok shop but the owner has an ego bigger than the messy cluttered shop itself and if you go to try to sell anything you won't always be able to, overstocked maybe but the owner was less than interested to speak to me, the other guy that spoke to me was decent though
Entertainment World is linked in the description. Please follow them and enjoy 😉😊

I made a good purchase then eh?
@TheGebs24 I'd say so... its a proper quirky game... alot of 1 liners... enjoy

My favorite comic was Y: The Last Man. I was so sad when they ended the series that I stopped collecting comics. :(
When did it end?
Fallout 3 was the best! lol I agree! :-) As for favorite comic book... The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. I doubt it will be dethroned in my mind. It is still my favorite.
YES!! Somebody mentioned this 💯💯💯
Hard for me to choose just one, but at the moment I’d probably say Batman: White Knight is my favorite comic.
Nice
Nice GEBS I use this shop in Birmingham always
That’s amazing. Did you see anything you’d buy in this episode?
A few snes games and Saturn sega rally
My favourite comic was the beano.i also like marvel comics which I have a collection of, mostly from the 70s.spiderman is my favourite of these

Did you go game smart while you were in Birmingham?
Personally my first impression of this shop wasn't great. They definitely have cool stuff but the games not being in order really annoyed me😂

Is “jelly boy” SNES PAL game for the SNES. Common over there or rare?
Not to my knowledge. I see it quite often 😃

My heart is firmly in the 80s and 90s. Mainly the 90s. I feel at peace when I go on retro game hunts
The best Fallout is Fallout 2 though. And if we go by the ones released on console.. Fallout: New Vegas.
