This was so entertaining to watch. I love how marshall thought he built a train wreck of a deck but then pulled of the 7-1. The games were very well played as well. I love marshall as a commentator and now I respect him even more. I would love to see more of this content. I even enjoyed it more than the LSV drafts because marshall is just such a great guy. Humble, smart, funny and he has such a calming voice. Please more!
Marshall had a rocky draft, but shows sometimes you can make it with just using the best of what you got. Minimus containment might have been my first pick, though.
Pick two I would have gone for the lifelinker paladin since you have the roper. Then pick four there was a unicorn. The white green lifegain deck is so good when it gets there. And can be ok even if it doesn’t.
Marshall is really playing a different game. Everybody is prioritizing two drops to make sure we don't die and here he is playing 3 two drops of which none is a creature. I think there were some lanes in this draft to either UG, UW or even GW.
I've listened to LR for many years... great memories. Gotta say, Mashall may be getting a bit better than LSV on some of his insights/instincts. Love you guys....

First of al I gotta say that you played and drafted really well. Enjoyed this a lot and also learned something. That said, I gotta disagree with you on the bugbear rating. The RR cost it has just makes it a bit too inconsistent for me, so I cannot reliably cast it on turn 3. I still like it, I just dont see it as a signal that red is open. Im curious what your thoughts are on my point.

Stats don't say blue is bad, that's just a knee-jerk extrapolation some players do. What the stats say is that WU is the less likely pair to win you 6 games or more. That's in part because their archetype is weak and rarely gets pursued, their signpost is win-more, and the commons and uncommons in the other three colors are more explosive. I believe UR and UB are among the top 5-6 most successful pairs. UG is not the worst but requires a few strong rares to perform. If you p1p1 Volo and build around him, you got yourself a safe bet to 7 wins.
@@Kumagoro42 I’ve talked to several pros who all just say the stats say blue is bad, or “their experience” is that blue is bad. But if it performs in mythic I don’t feel like that can be true. I think the statement should be it’s not as good as red black. Thanks for the good and thoughtful out reply. People that say more than 3 lines are a rare breed.

You wouldn't have had to discard if you had leveled wizard class. It gives no max hand size.

Vampire spawn is the best card according to 17lands. Card is still somehow a sleeper in the format.
