Ferrari 488 Spider - Launch video

Ferrari announces the launch of the 488 Spider, its most powerful ever mid-rear-engined V8 spider to feature the patented retractable hard top along with the highest level of technological innovation and with cutting-edge design. The world premiere of the 488 Spider will be at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September.

Si tratta della spider 8 cilindri posteriore-centrale più prestazionale di sempre dotata di tetto rigido ripiegabile, con il più alto livello di innovazione tecnologica e dal design più estremo. La 488 Spider sarà presentata in anteprima mondiale al Salone Internazionale dell’Automobile di Francoforte, a settembre.
Ferrari 488 Spider: combined cycle fuel consumption: 11,4 l/100km; urban cycle fuel consumption: 16,6 l/100km; extra-urban cycle fuel consumption: 8,4 l/100km; CO2 emissions (combined test cycle): 260g CO2/km.
The values of fuel consumptions and CO2 emissions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval.

I think this Spider version looks absolutely gorgeous! I didn't really immediately fall for the 488 GTB but the 488 Spider is beautiful. I'd have one in this Blue Corsa colour as well. Only problem is I can't afford one. Not now, at least.

My God , that Ferrari will probably be one of the best creations of Ferrari new car that beats the Ferrari F12 for 1 millisecond , currently launched .
the design is stunning, aerodynamic very good , in my opinion should only change the color, because the Ferrari spider has a bold, red design combines boldly.
I 'm Brazilian 15 years , and hope to have the opportunity to go at Ferrari , and see up close because appreciate engine assembly line , especially the Ferrari are the best engines ever created eternal affection for Enzo Ferrari , to have started it all , I love Ferrari.
My favorite is the Ferrari 458 very beautiful.

Why not simply call it a GTS!?
If the coupe is a GTB where B=Berlinetta, shouldn't this be the GTS where S=Spider?
Plus Ferrari have used this nomenclature before.

Nope,Ferrari used "S" for targa topped (don't know why) model such as the 246 GTS,348 TS,348 GTS,and the F355 GTS.
