Starting with the RHT (Retractable Hard Top) around which the entire car was developed, every area of the 488 Spider has been designed to set new technological benchmarks for the sector.
The result is the most powerful and innovative Ferrari Spider ever built, a car that marries the extraordinary prowess of the 488 GTB coupé’s mid-rear V8 with the joy of tackling even the most challenging roads surrounded by nature’s heady aromas and colours and accompanied by an inimitable Ferrari engine soundtrack. At the very heart of the car is, of course, the 3902cc turbo-charged V8 which set a new benchmark for this type of architecture. Thanks to a maximum power output of 670 CV and smooth, progressive torque delivery in the higher gears by the Variable Torque Management system, the 488 Spider sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.7 seconds.

It's still funny to me that Ferrari chose to shoot the promo video in Norway. Sure Norway is very beautiful, but Norway-as with the rest of Scandinavia, only sees about two months of spider-friendly weather in a year.

Yes, that is right. The 488 is just a refreshed 458. The next car to come out will be completely different (that is how Ferrari does it), and I'm sure they'll give the new car a carbon fiber tub.

OG Jawdinz Those are really expensive to design and make, and it's not exactly like the car is struggling in the performance department. And in any case the 488 Spider really wasn't ment to go racing, it was designed to pick up girls.
Too light and you will feel every bumps on the road. There is a reason why a bit of weight is needed for road car.

Come on now, even a $60k Alfa 4C has a CF 🛀. Driving a McLaren 650 Spyder and a 458 Spyder on and off of driveway you can hear creaking noises from the Fcar. They need to step up their CF games

Make sure to also buy all their shit cars and sell them back at pennies to ensure that you will be considered for their exclusive cars like the Ferrari Flinston model where you use leg power. Spend extra money and buy all their line up, and they will give you the super special duct tape model that also includes the license plates.
