    I tried so much to learn how to crochet multiple times throughout my life and couldn't make any progress whatsoever. These taught me to crochet so easily and I never would have learned without them because the videos were so helpful amd the yarn was easily to use. I agree they are expensive!!! But now I can crochet outside of these kits 🩵

    as someone who bought this exact kit as a complete beginner, I can attest to it being super beginner friendly. I had a great time making it, and didn't really have any trouble with any part of it. for context, I was 17 when I bought/did it, so I don't know how well little kids or younger teenagers would do.

      How long did it take you for the first time? I want to crochet one as a gift but I don't know if I'll have enough time to finish before their birthday

    • @logsday
      @logsday 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@411Lotusflower i did it all in one or two days, if I remember correctly. it took me a while to get the hang of it, and I was pretty careful with counting and re-counting stitches. I want to say it took me upwards of 6 hours my first time making one.
      edit: also, for me, the shipping was pretty fast. I think it took two or three days to get to me. (I'm in midwest usa). I have seen them in stores like Blick as well, so you might not even need to order it online if it's in a store near you

    I've made several, and have the same book. I'll admit they're expensive, but they're fun to do. I do wish the Easy Peasy yarn was less expensive and was available in stores.
    Woobles made with worsted weight yarn are just as adorable, but tend to be a little on the smaller side.

    My only real issue with it is the hook with the yarn. I feel like the hook was really rough. I’m an experienced crocheter and I felt like my clover hooks did much better. But for a kit, I get that they are trying to keep costs down!!

      I saw another TH-camr who had her husband try this. He never crochet before. He struggled with the hook so his wife gave him one of hers. It was so much better. Also, he has a fancy microscope and proved the hook was horrible!

Age appropriate of course 😁 and, to feel proud of finishing something with effort to perhaps give to family ❤️🤗 nothing says warmth when making something from the heart ❣️ one took time in productive effort making instead of purchasing items with no thought behind it.

    As someone with no crochet experience this project started fairly and then ended in frustration and the videos weren't very helpful after round 10. I found the 3d bits to be difficult to make and ended up with the wrong dimensions on the lower body. I know that this was user error but as an actual beginner with zero prior crochet skills or experience, this feels like it would only seem beginner friendly to someone who has far surpassed being a beginner crocheter

    I’m curious. When you order a kit, do they ask if you’re right handed or left-handed. As a left-handed crocheter, I would not be able to use the kit the way you pulled it out of the package. Round one was obviously made right handed.

    • @angela2k1
      @angela2k1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    So expensive for what you get. Do they give info on what to do if that first row and the magic circle come undone? If not, you are out of luck!
    I taught a kids crochet class with 8 to 10 year olds. Tension was really difficult for them, and with amigurumi, it's key to keeping the stuffing in. I think this is more for adults.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is a great question. The one I got had a knot created where the loop is ending round 1. It was pretty secure but that doesn’t mean one won’t ever come undone. The pattern you can get from the link included in the kit is very straight forward how to make one of these projects from the beginning as if you were creating a whole other stuffed animal. So, it might be confusing at first but if the person referenced the pattern and what should be expected they should be able to make sense of it. And then there’s also the videos that help walk you through it.
      I completely respect your experience teaching 8 to 10 year olds. I’m not saying this project would be a piece of cake. There would still be a learning curve. But watching the videos provided and how detailed they broke everything down. I think it could be done. And of course, with everyone’s first project it won’t be perfect. So being realistic with ourselves and letting it just be for fun will be key. 😊❤️🧶

    I’m not a negative person but these are a rip off. Cute but $40-$50 is a rip-off. Buy a pattern from a small business and collect all of the supplies for $10-put it in a cute project bag and wrap it with a bow. A $20-$25 gift at most.

      It’s an educational company. I guess if you think their curriculum & pedagogy are bad, that COULD make sense, but (a) this PROFESSIONAL crafter learned several new useful skills, and (b) the point of the product is to provide new-hobby access to the complete beginner, who doesn’t even know what yarn or a stitch-marker is.

      How do people not consider the cost of running the business? There are processing fees, storage fees, manufacturing fees, cost of website, cost for materials, advertising, it’s not as simple as just shipping a ball of yarn. They even have tutorial videos.

    Have 10 year old granddaughter and she has tried crochet since 7. Only tries for 15 mins gives up. Very frustrated. I doubt she would be able to complete this because just a simple chain is not neat. She seems to want instant gratification when it took me years to learn crochet I started in my 50's. I will see if this works tho. Thank you.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I totally see where you are coming from. Something I hear a lot is that there are many people who do not have the confidence that they could ever make a stuffed animal. This kit provides them everything they need and more to make a stuffed animal so the person does not have to guess or wonder if they have the right things. This kit provides more peace of mind and a confidence boost than anything. Which can be just what someone might need to finally give it a try. You are absolutely right. You do not need to buy a kit to make a stuffed animal. It's just not only the materials and pattern that you are buying though. And if you don't need that then that's awesome.🤗

    Having never heard of these 'Woobles' I headed over to their site and almost choked on my water. They want approximately £40 for something I can probably put together for less than a £10. I actually have scraps of yarn around and was able to make it for next to nothing. Go to the library, buy a book, or look at online videos. What a complete rip-off. Shame on you 'Woobles'.

  • @user-ec4jd8ql1n
    @user-ec4jd8ql1n 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Dont pay for Woobles. Those are the most insanely overpriced rip-offs ever. You can buy enough yarn and hooks to crochet for an entire lifetime for the price of one woobles kit. Eyes can easily be made with yarn , and pa g terns are free online. Plus tjere are plenty of people like me that will GLADLY give you ( for free) any pattern for any project, if only to spite those greedy enough to charhe 30 dollars for a simplr quilt, or 20 dollars for a 6inch stuffed amigurumi. Wooble are a waste of money. BOYCOTT WOOBLES. DONT GIVE GREEDY CRAFTERS YOUR MONEY. WOOBLES SUCK

    And i apologize for any harshness in my last comment, but this type of greed should be stopped at all cost, (especially overpricing. Yarn is dirt cheap ffs.) All crochet patterns should be free, and anyone charging money for them doesnt deserve to crochet at all.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you. I understand how the cost of such a project can seem unnecessary. And maybe there's some truth to that. For me personally, after creating my own crochet kits I was shocked at how much expense went into putting everything together. I also completely understand how it would not make sense for anyone to charge for a crochet pattern in general. In truth, according to the Crochet Guild and Craft Yarn Council, patterns should technically be tested and then tech edited before they are released to the public. This comes at a decent expense. Sooo, realistically, every pattern should come with a charge. The only reason many people release patterns free is one, the pattern is put together without any checks OR two, it's in a BLOG post or on a website where there are ads and the pattern creator is getting paid from all the ads you are having to dig through. Thought you might like to know a little more behind the process. Sometimes it helps understand why things are when you know what happens behind the scenes. 😊🧶❤️
