Got the early version myself and road out the Drivers...There was a time where almost every morning felt like Christmas getting an improved Graphics Card (driver updates)! :).
That's exactly what I'm doing. I was going to upgrade to the 7900XT or XTX from my 6900XT, however, I just decided to pop in the AsRock a380 Low Profile for the AV1 and the 6900XT handles everything else. $100 upgrade for similar if not slightly better performance from the 7900GRE vs $700-900 upgrade to the 7900XT/XTX. The GRE was never on the table for me seeing how that's a $500 side grade. Even then that's a $400 savings for even better AV1 performance. All superior wins.
I'd bet the B580 benchmark scores being low is a driver issue. Remember how bad Alchemist performed initially, then how much better they kept making it with driver updates? I'd not worry too bad until it's actually out
The B580 drivers might need some improvements is all and I wonder if they benched in linux as windows also had those weird GPU slow downs recently. Come on Intel, black friday pricing B780 B580 B380 I rather buy three 7600 XTs instead of single 7900 XTX, three times the RAM (48 GB) and can scale my systems wide or tall. Just need transparent multi-gpu rendering in windows or more personally, linux.
New releases are becoming a trend to perform lower than their previous generation with Intel lol. Like their new cpu's that perform even worse than the previous generation... What on earth is happening with Intel. They truly lost their minds.
why PCIe 5 x 8 and not 4 x 16? This is BS. I'll have to upgrade PC to upgrade GPU? This is unacceptable. Used a PC from 13 to 21 and had no problems upgrading GPUs. Yes, I used a PC for 8 years. Ran all games smoothly at 1080.

As it turned out BECAUSE ARC DIDN'T HAD DX9 SUPPORT IN THE HARDWARE SO IT HAD TO BE EMULATED! We'll see how things will change. Also OpenCL is CPU based and the A580 was benchmarked on the non patched i9s which has been failing back then
When companies get into financial trouble, the first to go is exoeriments and non profitable lines. Good luck intel discrete gpus
damn thats crazy
nah fr
8 lanes of pcie 5 on a 250 USD gpu instead of 16 lanes of pcie 4 seems stupid to me ngl
I'm not an Arc shill. But it's not AMD.. I love my A770. Never had any consistent game breaking issues and never knew if it was the game or the GPU
Got the early version myself and road out the Drivers...There was a time where almost every morning felt like Christmas getting an improved Graphics Card (driver updates)! :).
For the giveaways, what if you are not living in the US but also you don't have a twitch account, any chances to have access on TH-cam or twitter?
That's exactly what I'm doing. I was going to upgrade to the 7900XT or XTX from my 6900XT, however, I just decided to pop in the AsRock a380 Low Profile for the AV1 and the 6900XT handles everything else. $100 upgrade for similar if not slightly better performance from the 7900GRE vs $700-900 upgrade to the 7900XT/XTX. The GRE was never on the table for me seeing how that's a $500 side grade. Even then that's a $400 savings for even better AV1 performance. All superior wins.
I did the same thing; the a380 is a productivity beast.
@16:37 I wouldn't hold my Bret.
I'd bet the B580 benchmark scores being low is a driver issue. Remember how bad Alchemist performed initially, then how much better they kept making it with driver updates? I'd not worry too bad until it's actually out
Yeah, it's a possibility. However, I'd still expect for it to get about the same scores at worst.
REPOST?
The B580 drivers might need some improvements is all and I wonder if they benched in linux as windows also had those weird GPU slow downs recently. Like maybe windows is using the card for AI whilst the bench is running.
Come on Intel, black friday pricing B780 B580 B380
I rather buy three 7600 XTs instead of single 7900 XTX, three times the RAM (48 GB) and can scale my systems wide or tall. Just need transparent multi-gpu rendering in windows or more personally, linux.
I wonder if the whether the 5090 or 4090 ti would've been more expensive
New releases are becoming a trend to perform lower than their previous generation with Intel lol.
Like their new cpu's that perform even worse than the previous generation...
What on earth is happening with Intel.
They truly lost their minds.
intel dropping the ball as usual
Reece deals for new baby birthday day? 🎉
i got a tower 300, its pretty nice.
why PCIe 5 x 8 and not 4 x 16? This is BS. I'll have to upgrade PC to upgrade GPU? This is unacceptable. Used a PC from 13 to 21 and had no problems upgrading GPUs. Yes, I used a PC for 8 years. Ran all games smoothly at 1080.
When is the giveaway happening?
Relax guys, everyone knows Arc drivers age like fine wine.
Too early?????
Lollllllllllll
For real Radeon simps be hating on BM coz it’s the only thing RDNA currently competes with now and into the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile if we got sample runs from RDNA4 right now, this channel and all the others would be bending over backwards to explain how it's not indicative of final performance. It's either technical illiteracy or straight bias that it wasn't mentioned here.
Intel still cant beat intel?
hier kom die bokke, Hier kom die bokke.... : )
Time to put a comment in complaining before watching the video
