I was rocking Sedley for the summer time, and it did good by me. I put my summer parfums away in storage though, and I don’t recommend them for the winter. However, I pulled out my Carlisle, Layton, Layton Exclusif, and my Herod. I opened up this season with Layton, and then I picked up a 4.2 bottle of Herod. Let me tell you I’ve already gone through a half bottle of the Herod, and it’s been a great compliment getter for me. I love this scent myself so much that I haven’t given much attention to the other flavors that I mentioned earlier. The only thing that I don’t like about Herod is that it doesn’t last long enough on my body. I find myself reapplying the Herod a couple of times a day. It only lasts about a good 3 to 4 hours on my skin with minimal projection ( about 2 feet, maybe 3 feet). It got interesting for me one day when I layered it with Layton. I did 3 shots of Layton on my chest area, and 6 shots of Herod on top of it. Oh yeah, it was unique on my skin in a very good way. My woman’s panties just flew off when I approached her.🤣🤣🤣 Herod alone is a panty dropper. Love it.
Yeah i hate rating fragranes based off the opening. For example my favorite fragrane is Initio Side Effect. Has a meh opening smells almost like a cherry cough drop. But man when it gets past that opening man ive never had so many women asking what im wearing or literally following me to smell it some more.
I never liked Layton until I tested it on my skin. It's like my skin unleashed something in Layton's DNA that can't come out with testing strips. Just smells amazing on me. Haltane also smells great on my skin and the performance is the best i've ever experienced from a cologne (12+ hrs). Love the PDM brand

I have Layton Exclusif decant and sometimes the civet note smells exclusifly like fecal matter. Sometimes it blends with the Layton DNA to form a very mature Layton.

I agree with Percival. It's a safe, mass appealing scent. But done very well. I love Carlisle, Herod, Layton as well. Just ordered Habdan earlier tonight. As of now PDM is my favorite house, with Initio a close 2nd.
There's some scents that just don't mix well on your skin. I'm actually one of them too. But what I do is since I do like the smell I spray it on my clothes and then regular Layton on my skin
I love Greenley - great freshness and pleasant amount of sweetness, but upon first spray on MY skin I detected a pretty interesting note. It’s almost like faint but true pungent oud, but when it blends with the apple and citrus, it almost has a vaguely Christmas-y smell? It only appears in the opening for me. Hard to explain but it’s unlike most freshies I have smelled.
To me Layton Exclusif is the best out of the ones I've tried from PdM. I got a discovery set near the start of my niche fragrance journey and didn't really like LE upon the first spray, didn't understand how it's supposed to be similar to a much lighter Layton, and it seemed kinda stanky to me at first (similar impressions to Haltane, maybe it was because of the oud and my inexperience withthat type of scent profile), but as I wore it a couple of times to test it out I got addicted to that drydown, it smelt unique, warm and gave me a nice confidence boost whenever I wore it. After flip flopping a bit between it, Layton, Herod and Carlisle I decided to just buy a big bottle of this, and honestly no regrets here
No particular order, my favorites are Layton, Haltane, Herod, Carlisle, Oujan, Percival, and Pegasus. PDM was really my intro into the niche world of fragrance, hence the number of bottles. And, have to say, of the houses I have collected thus far, the longevity of PDM fragrances is REALLY good, so they have been easier buys than some I later regretted.

I can’t do sweet dominate scents. If it’s just on the short opening I’m alright. But sweet pretty much throughout? sweet boys can love that soft stuff all they want. I love vetiver and forest smelling scents.

As a person making the transition from designer to niche I appreciate PDM and its place in that transition. I appreciate the synopsis. PERCIVAL is my office scent/signature. Haltane is my date with the wife scent. The rest I alternate before bed as my nose continues to mature to their more daring scents.I need more time with them in order to be able to tier list them. Thank you for your rankings. It will give me something to compare to.

Bought Perseus on Friday... in the trash on Sunday. Haltane... kept trying to figure out who would want to smell like that. Kept it around wanting to like it... but... in the trash it went. Altair is FIRE. I don't understand how someone couldn't like Altair. it is AMAZING. I don't get the hype around Layton. It's alright... nothing special. it doesn't wow me, but guess what... every time I wear Layton I get compliments, so I got a backup bottle. I don't get it, but other people seem to love it, so I wear it. Habdan is all that. OMG - Habdan all day always. I got no more words. Habdan is what's up. Herod - One word - DALISCIOUS!

For me the only pdms that seem to worth the money is Carlisle goldolphin and Haltane idk why but each one appeals to me like Carlisle is like the sexier version of Layton and haltane is like a chocolate praline with a hit of suavage elixir which gives a sexy but yet bold appeal and goldolphin is like a sweet leather and amber and vanilla feel which kind of gives it a peanut butter smell but smoother which I like but other than that I think the other pdms are not worth it

Yeah but try this to make sure spray it on paper and smell it but then leave it because that’s what I thought but I guess since they added more alcohol it makes you go noises blind so spray smell it but then just leave it alone and smell it an hour later because it does linger like It doesn’t project long but it does stay long trust me
