How is life/career of a non engineer who gets into an IIM?
Are the prospects of having a great career is only for an engineer who does MBA from IIMs?

my life s path is very odd,i didnt gived jee , not have the straight line path , have done diploma in ce ,and now doing btech from a good college in my state ,but still i m preparing for leee for iiit h ,why i dont have the straight line path

Is there even any demand for such combo, if yes what are the placement scenario like? (Especially in consulting field)
A lot of doctors do go for MBA and start HC startups, or join healthcare companies too :)

During placement do top consulting firms (MBB) prefer MBBS graduate?
Yes, they does. Especially for Healthcare consulting and pharmaceutical companies also prefers medicos. There is a famous medico guy Dr.Shashank Prabu who topped in CAT after completing MBBS and went on to do MBA from FMS. Some medicos they wanted to be align with their profession, so they take MBA in hospital or health care systems management, some they go for MPH related, finally its all your own interest. Business schools doesnt restrict you on the basis of your undergrad, but without the early exposure of accounting and finance in school it will take time to pick up, before you hope up withit, your MBA will be over. So try to learn basics before entering business school.

Hey, i just got into st Stephen's College in eng hnrs (under delhi university).
Does eng graduates have any disadvantages in comparison to engineers in IIM?
My math is extremely weak and i thought on working on it these 3 years of my bachelor's degree.
Can u advise me should I go for mba?
My marks were -
10th - 92%
12th - 99.6%
And i m planning to do internships etc to build my CV, but again i m weak at math so should that be a concern for me?
The only disadvantage is engg have to do a lot of maths in college. Once u get into MBA no disadvantage as such

Really iim brand name dilution is happening.. by baby iims. I really don't think baby iims are worth it and students are not able to getting decent internship only from there
Baby IIMs have always been there, its not dilution its just that they’re very new (babies), you can check the stats of New IIMs Udaipur, trichy nagpur raipur, their placement is upto the mark and they were once “babies”
Why you was not able to get hostel at IIT? Every one gets hostel.
After doing an MBA, I feel going to Ivy league colleges will only waste your money 😂. If one wants to work abroad, then definitely they should go for abroad colleges.
Have you ever gone to any ivy league college. First go and then tell anything. In ivy league colleges you make a very strong network, a very different learning experience, you learn from those people who are really good in those jobs , a lot of connection, strong email support , global recognition, better salary , exposure and alot of things you learn in ivy league that you can't learn in any iim or isb. If the isb or iim gives you that type of knowledge then why those type of colleges are in top. why not iim or isb. And the selection criteria is also very different in iim you need only your cat score that's it they doesnt prefer any work ex for selection and even isb only prefer 2years of experience but in ivy league you need 3 to 4 years of experience, leadership skills, certificate, volunteering, medals and many more things Bahut chize alag hai phle Jake dekho fir pta chalega ek iim or ek ivy league college mai kya difference hai kitni recognition or kitna seekhne ko milta hai wha yha sirf Indian hi hai har clg mai joh teacher tume pdayenge woh kitne qualified honge even iim se jyada bahut chize seekhne ko milti hai yha sirf padai kro clg mai or bad mai placement bs. Compare tab Krna jab jao. Gye ho nhi or gyan dena hai yh nhi hota ki pahuch nhi paye toh waste of money hai or ha money scholarship bhi dekhna wha per kitni hai agar pdne ka mann hai toh woh scholarship bhi dete hai need based joh 100% cover krti hai even tere plane ka karcha unka merit based bhi hai bahut si hai
Yha ka koyi clg nhi bhid skta wha ke ivy league se alag bhed skta toh aaj hmara top mai hota unka nhi
Or tujhe lg rha hai whi bahar jate hai or whi un clg mai jate hai jinko bahar rhna hota hai aisa kuch nhi hai Jake jobs mai check kr ek ivy league ka tag iim se khi jyada upar hai
Ek bar Jana or dono ke curriculum mai difference check Krna ek bar kitna difference hai or kitne changes or un ivy league ke bacho ko kya seekhne ko mil rha hai jyada joh iim or iit walo ko nhi milta

If a person is about to hit 30 or has entered 30 but doesn't own a degree ( which in India is considered to be a person who is not educated because people here in India define your worth by your degree and the bank Balance that you make), and doesn't have a good stable job as well, isn't the career comes to an end?
I mean none of the good companies would offer a decent paying job to him.
Will still the theory of 5 years down the line serve the purpose?

to all aspiring consultants (managers) that do something meaningful..Some gyan on real stuff would be helpful, where skills are real to help india move into more sustainable path like manufacturing and how India’s top talent shall build another Apple or Tesla
