Our one year old German Shepherd dog, Beck, was very nervous when we first brought home our ginger kitten, Bleu. It took about a week before Beck figured out all Bleu wanted to do was play, and they've been best friends ever since. Here's some more adorable videos of them palling around!

Oh wait. One in 5 American children already go hungry each day in the midst of an ongoing nationwide obesity epidemic that's spreading to dogs and cats. And without schools feeding them breakfast their stomachs would be growling in class. So, never mind. I stand corrected?
@@phildouglas9086 you clearly dont know too much about animals, these are pets, dog and cats are not wild animals and almost always wont hunt, unless really badly trained or specifically trained to do that, if that was the case we would be seeing stray dogs killing people to eat, and there is studies that found that dogs see a good bond like family, so no he would never eat that cat

I seriously didn't have ANY idea how truly smart this dog breed is, but emotionally smart too! Like, capable of raising children smart...like smarter than MOST humans kinda smart! Like, who needs a nanny, or a babysitter, when you have a beautiful soul like this to help support you!? Unreal... we learn something new every day! What a blessing animals are!

He is such a good dog. I loved how patient he was with the cat tormenting him and then when the cat stopped, he gave it a nudge to keep things going. Your pup is a gem. Your cat has an extraordinarily long tail for its size!

Your so lucky to have this pair. I melted watching your Shepherd, a gentle giant, accept, then make this kitten/cat his pack mate. Good job giving him treats when you introduced them. I'm going to try it with my Aussie who, wants to play 99% of the time. Have been afraid he'd hurt a cat with rough-housing. But maybe, just maybe the treats will work. You really are lucky with your beautiful, calm & intelligent Shepherd.

Handsome shepherd. Ours GSD (Hector) made friends with an orange tabby kitten like yours. Unfortunately we had to put Hector to sleep two years go. He was only 9 but the two were best of friends. Thanks posting the video; brings heartwarming memories.

I lost my Lucky duck (he's a cat, I just call him a duck because it rhymes) on account of him becoming roadkill. And his birthday was St. Paddy's Day. And I lost him around Thanksgiving.

First, hour a good dad, you watch, and gave your dog positive direction, good gravy the dog's head bigger than entire kitty at first. Wow, loved your intelligent, and handsome dog.
