Hi everyone! You might remember this mom and her kittens from the "I followed this limping mother cat and found her whole family in the bushes" video. ( th-cam.com/video/90qBQnA-i1k/w-d-xo.html ) The lady who was taking care of them in the foster home had a waist injury unfortunately and she can't take care of the kittens in that situation so I had to take them to my dad's house a few days ago. The kittens are now around 7 weeks old and we are in the process of finding homes for them but of course they will stay here with their mom for 2-3 more weeks before they go to their new homes. And as I said before, we are looking for the homes from Turkey because sending a cat abroad is usually a 3 months process and we don't have that time. While I was watching, I realized the reason the kittens were packed with energy running, playing, and springing was all because of your love and compassion in taking the entire cat family home with you nursing them to such an excellent healthy state. Caring for a litter of kittens is one of the most rewarding animal experiences my family and I have ever had. We brought in and began to take care of a stray cat, very young probably just out of kitten hood herself. It turned out she was pregnant and gave birth to five beautiful kittens. Unfortunately, she decided to birth her kittens inside a hard to get to nook on top of the roof, and for a while there we thought she lost them. We had to break open a portion of the ceiling in a few places to get to the trapped kittens, an area so tight that not even she could get to them. We rescued them. The hardest part though, was watching them leave to their forever homes. We still have two, and the mom. One of them will soon leave to my stepson’s home. It’s amazing, how the siblings personalities change for a while when they noticed that their brothers and sisters are no longer by their side... I never considered myself a cat person, until this experience.

I love the ending. It reminds me of my cat. When he was a kitten, he would run around the house completely hyper. Five minutes later, he would be passed out on the floor. Five minutes after that, he would be running around the house crazy again.

Don’t worry... the brakes are there, just not connected yet. Rather fortunate (for mama cat anyways) that they also have a limited fuel capacity connected to their V12 engine.
i think that mom cats pride themselves in front of humans they trust about how active kittens are. it is like "look at my cuties, they are the best". it also has to do with them being tired, it is not easy to be mama cat.
