A mother-in-law with narcissistic tendencies and a creepy, dare, I say, fetish over her son. A baby shower should not be about the mother. In law and not just about the son... Barbara needs oak badly.i understood why OP didn't tell her. She maybe the mother of the father of the baby, but that doesn't give her rights other than what a standard grandparent would get. She finds out when everybody else does. When the mother of the child is comfortable, especially if there's a possibility of a health risk.
My hubby and I have been trying for over 8 years now.. it took the VA this long for them to finally send me to a fertility clinic I am in my late thirties now. I am so ticked off that they wasted my time and didn't take us seriously to start with. I really want to have at least two kids and feel like they really screwed us over.
If you live in America, come January 01, 2025, the 🍊 Traitor will get rid of everything, including the VA and Fertility clinics. You'll have to move to another country if you want to have a baby. I doubt Canada will take Americans once the facist takes office. You're aware of this, right? Project 2025?
Have you considered a RE (reproductive endocrinologist)? The right one will check your hormones and do a very thorough check for everything that might be causing any issues. Also never accept a “PCOS” diagnosis- get a second opinion before you start taking treatment for it. I was dx PCOS, then finally sent to an endocrinologist (she also is a RE) because I had a pituitary tumor. She checked the correct hormones and realized my GH (growth hormone) and igf-1 (ditto) was high and I was dx with acromegaly and immediately sent to a neurosurgeon for brain surgery (done within three months of dx) and if it weren’t for her I wouldn’t have known and I would probably pass by my early 40’s. I also didn’t have PCOS. Husband and I have been trying for 14 years and sadly the time I got pregnant it ended in early miscarriage. I started getting my period on a more regular schedule and even at the age of 38 I just can’t give up hope. 2025 has always felt like the year I get pregnant/have our baby. Don’t give up!
@@kathyburton4372 Hmm this is definitely something worth thinking about I am going to see a specialist in neurology but it is related to another thing that runs in my family, I also had an early miscarriage. I will see about getting a check for it but at this point I am more worried I will run out of time considering the VA is so slow.. I'm a veteran and they are my only insurance. I have to go through the VA hospital for literally everything or I will have to shell out thousands of dollars.

The thing is OP and her husband didn't tell anyone on either side of the family. I don't know why she felt singled out.

@@therarestphoenix5254 Trump has nothing to do with Project 2025. That was all the Legislative branch. The President is the Executive branch.

AI is still long winded, humans talking about their issues are not this verbose.
It also straight up skipped over what the gift was and why everyone was uncomfortable with it
@ I didn’t get that far. I was bored.

@@dizzdaz6543I came to say this too. What was the gift??? We’ll probably never know.

Get over yourself Barbara ,like really!
If she had included baby pictures of her son and daughter in law on the banner, it would have been cute.
She sounds crazy.
