I appreciate how you took the constructive criticism and made this beautiful butterfly. Some artist get extremely offended. But how does an artist become an artist? It’s just like when I first started pouring. I was doing just about everything wrong. If I hadn’t listened to tips, that’s where I’d still be. I didn’t know how to do this style right until I applied pretty much the same techniques as you did. When grow when we get over being stuck in our stubborn ways. Thank you for listening and this video.
Oh! 😊 Feel humbled, that you took the chain size on board!🥰 The painting community is so lovely! Learnt so much from you, it was a privilege to give something back. My moto is "Keep learning- nothing is impossible!" Fantastic creation! 🤘 You boss!
Beautiful! And it helps those of us that are still learning to know that the folks we are learning from are continuing to learn and improve their art too! 🥰
THANK YOU for showing that you are human and mess up sometimes. Olga makes things look effortless and PERFECT, which can be frustrating when you try to copy her numerous times, and keep failing. And I agree with you that comments from the pouring nation gave you so much help. You really encourage me, as always.
Wow! Its beautiful! I have been reluctant to try again since my first attempt was an epic fail. You’ve inspired me. Thanks 😊 I learn so much from you. You’re a natural teacher.
Your objective was to create a place where people can learn. It's turned into an interactive class setting. Beautiful evolution - like a caterpillar to a butterfly?
I recently was able to start painting again. I need a get a bigger chain. I can’t wait to try this. I’ve never had any success with the chain pull. You make it seem possible. Thank you
Looks amazing! I use different size chains for different looks. I have even used bigger Mardi Gra beads. They all look so different. So happy you tried again, looks great!
Hey friend! from my own personal experiences, hours upon hours of chain pulls, I'd like to share some of my own tips if you're chain pulling with dots of paint, try, as you did here, to start from almost within the dots. if you're pulling with your paint in lines, start outside the lines of paint so that you're dragging your base paints, trails of it, into the paints, to create the separation. You need way less base paint than you think you do, especially at the pull focal point Think of beads sort of as a miniature pull and drag, you're pulling the base (into the colors) and dragging the colors, across each other and the base, if that makes sense. This means you want to start with your beads on top of the paint and sink the metal bearings lower into the paint once you hit the colors as you pull *Expect* pools. I'm tellin' ya, short nozzle snot suckers ftw Pulling your chain from one end vs both ends will have different results - personally, I find that the draw focal looks more symmetrical if I pull both ends but the pools can get unruly and you can find your beads completely submerged if you pull too quickly OR too slowly, depending on paint consistency. I start out with wet chains, slightly tamp them on a paper towel before I place them but not too much. I find this helps the beads move through/over the paint better.
So cool that you got all those great tips from viewers. I will be trying this soon now that you have shown us how to make it. I did try to order droppers thru your link but they were all sold out.
I’m so happy that you were able to accomplish it… I still don’t believe that the black is all that necessary and I probably would’ve let it dry a little bit and then the colors but why do I know… I haven’t painted in probably four months I miss you terribly but I’d rather not paint and make a disaster and Then make me wanna stop altogether so right now I am doing a ton of finger scarfs and blankets and now that the season is coming to Vinny and it looks like I’m going to be painting again soon
Much much better than last time 👌🏻 Next time less paint, you can even remove some of the base color with a palletknive before pulling. When I'm doing the chain pull I prefer to put the chain on the outside of the colors. Or even just put the color on the chain itself like in my video of today where I did an Angel's Wing.
I couldn’t find the place where you mentioned needed larger balls on the chains & checked mine & are the small ones! Could you tell me the size that worked better!
Fan chains use the #6 size ball chain has a diameter of 1/8" or 3.2mm. If you can, even bigger ones would be better but not super hug unless you are doing a massive canvas.
Thank you as trying to watch videos (like yours as don’t have many left brained ability) & see silver ball chains & any kind will do (not for this “harder than I every thought” just pull them & it will be just beautiful (no would have had results worse than yours) trust me! However; not going to stop me from learning & doing it so again ty & so enjoy & learn so much from your videos as not just a a bit of this to this line, a bit of this to this line & you get it!
Wow, it's beautiful! Where does everyone buy these chains? Also, I normally do dutch pours....I'm assuming though your paint was thinner this time, I would not want it dutch pour thin, right? Thanks for always teaching us so much. I always look forward to your videos!!!!

I know you can do it Carre. Sorry I was watching the Super Bowl and am just now seeing these. Send me some pictures to the contact us form on the website (same name).
Can you please do a tutorial on transparent semi trans and opaque. I can. Not find a comprehensive tutorial and I have more questions than I came with. I think my not understanding is leading to my muddied not vibrant color schemes. If you have one shoot me the number please and ty
Why do you torture me so? I had no intention of painting tonight...in pain...but you go and post this...and now I have to try again, too. Grrr Is that a fan pull chain, like I told you I used in my first and only so far (started pouring in Dec 21) pull chain pour? Looks like it, but want to be sure, so when I try again, it's what you used. Awesome you took the suggestions...some do, but some get miffed. One told me if I knew so much, why don't I have a channel, when I asked a question because I heard someone else say something different and was just asking to understand.😳
@@LeftBrainedArtist ...exactly. I obviously do not subscribe to her channel. If someone is so insecure with a simple question for clarity, that they strike out and attack me, I do not need their vibe in my life.
Well done and a great recovery. Olga does amazing work but it's always difficult to try to replicate another's work. Another great artist that does some great chain work is Gemma77. She doesn't speak but her videos are easy to understand. Thanks again for all your very informative work😁
I loved the fact that you took advice from others. This one turned out awesome. Art is all about learning and teaching. Thank you for all that you do.
You are so welcome Teresa. Love getting feedback from my friends. Makes pouring so much more enjoyable.

Thanks my friend. I appreciate the help and definitely think we can all help each other in this amazing artform.
Beautiful! And it helps those of us that are still learning to know that the folks we are learning from are continuing to learn and improve their art too! 🥰
Absolutely! I don't have it all learned for sure. I feel like I am student along with the rest of you.

Epic fails are just hard lessons. Enjoy them like you do the successes and you'll find you are a million times happier! (it's hard I know)
I love the butterfly. Your second attempt was way better,
and I like how you are not afraid to show us all your work, not just the successful pours.
Thanks Cecilia. I think people learn better this way, at least I do. You've really been binge watching haven't you?
@LeftBrainedArtist HaHa, yes, I have. I'm like a sponge soaking up as much helpful information as possible.
Great tips from some of your subscribers. It's nice that you took their suggestions to create a beautiful painting. Thank you David.☮️💖🎶

Don't get me wrong, I've had plenty of failures but it seems I found on OK way to do it now. Some bigger beads would help also. Like Mardi Gras ones.
Really nice and thanks for the tips on the chain size and the eye dropper. I never would have thought of using them.
You are so welcome! But thank my audience. They helped the most here.
Just knowing the size of the balls on the chain matters so now checking mine to see size!
Great tips & so glad watched this one!
Glad it helped Paula. I do need to try some really big ones like Mardi Gras next.
Beautiful painting. Thank you
Thanks Martha!

Thank you! 😊 I definitely need to the try the big beats. Lot of people making that suggestion.
This one did turn out better! I also appreciate a person's suggestion of using mardi gras beads. I think I might try that on a larger canvas =)
Let me know how it goes Hollie.
Some awesome suggestions in the comments and wow, what a difference!!

What size chain should you use? Does it matter how long the chain should be. BTW That pour was FANTILLIYASTIC!! I can't wait to try it!!
This was a standard fan chain size. Not sure the diameter.
Wow you totally nailed it this time! It looks beautiful 😁😁😁
Thank you so much 😀 I did this one for my cousin and she loves it.
Beautiful I wish mine came out so good they r impossible pours for me
As you can see by this video and the previous one, they were difficult for me too.

The fan chain size. Not sure exactly what that is. The one I used before was a necklace chain.
