"I don't really understand her powers yet" Yeah, at this point I thought she just did force-fields. Using them in creative ways, like offensively - throwing them - and throwing them down so that the momentum caused her to "fly", or riding them to fly... If we're talking what powers we'd want (I think you meant in the Invincible universe specifically, but I'm ignoring that and just going with traditional comics), I've got 4 answers depending on our criteria: 1 - Most powerful is just Superman. Pretty much can do anything 2 - Combination of cool and powerful: Spiderman. If you're in a comic book universe you've got strength, agility, durability, plus some cool stuff like sticky powers and the spidey sense. But if you're in the real world, you could be an NFL WR who catches everything and makes tens of millions a year. Very functional, practical. 3 - Most interesting: Superboy. The tactile telekinesis has some really interesting applications; I just think it's great if you're writing a comic book, book, tv show, or movie; his powers are powerful enough that you can give him formidable villains, not so powerful that it removes tension, and interesting enough that you can have him use it in unorthodox ways. Stuff you couldn't do with a hero who's just strong. 4 - Leaning most practical - or if we have to choose ONE power, rather than getting all of one specific hero's powers: I'm going teleportation. Imagine how useful that shit would be. Just... the amount of time you'd say, teleporting to and from work. The money you'd save on gas. (You may not need a car at all!) You could work in an area where you get paid a lot, live in an area that costs less. Or just, you know... teleport into a bank, *yoink*, and leave. Every time I'm in the car driving to or from work, I'm wishing I could teleport. I hate traffic, I hate driving, I hate the insane amounts of money we spend on gas and car insurance... spending time with friends would be a breeze, no matter where they live.
The season is only 8 episodes long so there's no room for filler, but I'm really eager to get to 5. 1 stands out because the surprise at the end throws you for a loop, gets you eager to watch more, and 2 introduces Atom Eve and the rest of Teen Team, which really opens up the world and makes it that much more interesting (plus Allen the Alien)... while pretty much every episode has something important, fun, interesting, I just love 5 so much. Also, in a show with stellar music top to bottom, 5 might be the best.
