Man your making great progress. Go Ben Go. Mark is nailing the camera and tunes also! You two are doing great things. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and be well.
That's what I was thinking too... Had he welded the nuts in it wouldn't be as much of a problem but if he wants to drop that cross member he'd have to cut that open! 🤔
Yup, I was about to say, great to see him following good advice. Then he goes and adds something unnecessary and silly like that as if there is no plan.
So glad you have a partner on board helping you with this that is doing the same thing with other builds. Seems like he has worked out all the issue and had parts available. I just know this thing is going to be a monster when its done. The great thing about it is the 65 chassis doesn't weigh much so this thing will be amazing just NA. I think turbo or procharge is overkill for this. Maybe run it NA for a while and see how you like it before going forced induction. You can always add that later.
That motor looks “HUGE”! In that front end of the Stang ! Things is gonna get tight in there . Turbo’s , headers, radiator, overflow, battery? , the whole motor and Tran’s will probably go back 10-12” inches ? 🤔
This is why we love watching you. Your honest no bullshit yea you got burned out. U admit it and learnt . always take time for. Your personal life.. Looks like youve got some great companies willing to help your build.
Bro im dying we have the same exact feeling when we looked at our coyote and the engine bay. She is a biggin. Got that mushroom top. Love the country accent with the 2.2 4 cylinder.
This is totally my opinion, but I'm thinking Pops is having scheduling and space problems with balancing all the "outside" activity with the needs of his body and fender shop- his breadwinner, if you will. He's been terrifically gracious, his desire to see his boys started well really shows. But he has to make a living too! He invested more heavily i his children than many Americans I know- big investment isn't just a full boat scholarship to Harvard- that is a lot easier the Pops Livachuk has done. Awesome, the lot of them! FR PS; I suspect we will see many collabs in the future; Paul is the best painter and Yuri is likely the best welder of the bunch, so those would be my first suspects for a collab. Personally, I want to see the Goonz race their new blue Caddy against G'Ma Livachuk and the black Caddy Ben and brothers did up for her a year or so ago. FR
Dude that cortex kit must have killed weeks of fab work and stress for you. Absolutely killing it. Please don't burn yourself out. Really enjoy following your build. Looking forward to the next update
rock and roll on the mustang things are looking great v tune is back at it that mustang will be done before you know it great video guys, thanks to your dad for free storage and also your brothers for help loading up, everybody working together.
Yes Sir I love how the motor looks in the car. You should have grabbed the fenders and hood from the other garage. If not for nothing else just to mock up the front end to see what it's going to look like. Keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family.
I’m loving this build 😃 loving that Milwaukee grinder especially the size , I do a lot of art and craft some involving metal my hands aren’t as good as they once were lol! Might look into that 😃
Loving the progress! But just a quick question, the nuts for the subframe bolts - are they captive? Would it have been worth throwing a couple tacks on before boxing in the mount? Would save headache if the subframe had to come off for any reason
Coming along nicely. Hopefully not too many roadblocks like with the other one. Run the exhaust out the sides. It will give it an retro gasser look. Can't wait to see it done. I'm hoping you can just complete it before starting any other builds. Your buddies seem to keep starting builds without finishing any. Stay the course!
Anyone who underestimates the level of design from this build, In such a short time, needs to get their head checked! LoL... Amazing suspension development Ben! Incredible, what a asphalt eating road racer this is becoming. Now turn the old frame you built at old shop, into vTuned coffee table and simply sell with rest of merch!!! LoL
If you do twin turbos you can reverse the headers and top mount the turbos.. Then you just run your exaust back... Otherwise youll have a hell of a time with a steering column by the looks of it
It's gonna be an awesome ride when you're done for sure! 😛👍You really need to get that lift going though so you can work 100 times easier on that thing! 😁
Nice progress looking forward to seeing it go down the road again. Going to be a bit different seeing you cutting out the firewall to make it work. Curious to see that and what it looks like at the end!
Glad to see that motor in there for mock up, tranny bell is pretty small compared to a 350 or 700r4, it might clear. Issue may be the driveshaft, too short or long- isn't this custom stuff fun!
The 'long-tube headers' he had laying out for example should be in your next shipment so you can build around them too. There's no room for turbos, and a blower will sound so bada$$ rolling down the roads anyway.
A couple of points of interest, the Vin number on those old mustangs is in the lh top rail you are going to need that if it's going to drive on the street, secondly, there is NO STRENGHT in 65 mustang body's note absence of torque boxes between front rails and sills just floor boards between front and rear rails, with the power you envisage it's going to need cenvertible Seat box and full cage just to take the power of a stock coyoty
Are you also planning on introducing more structural spot wields? I hope that's how it's called. I once heard the more welds you have on your car, the stronger the frame gets and can take more stress on said welded pieces. Correct me if I'm wrong though :)
What about the other parts from the old 5.0 ? The rear end and complete drivetrain looks like its all still at your dads shop??? Love the new build and look foward to all that you are doing to it bro !!! Cheers its 12 in UpState NY !!! lol
I read that a 90s model Ford Explorer 8.8 rear end will fit under those Mustangs. And they're a tiny bit wider plus are 5 lug with disc brakes. That might be one to consider.? Thanks for the video! I'm going to try one in my 65 GT Coupe.
That era rear end is pretty durable, but I don't think it's up to the task of handling the 400+ hp of the Coyote in stock form. Depending on the vintage of that Coyote, it's putting out 412 hp, 435, or even up to 480 hp for the newest Coyotes. Additionally, the Explorers are geared for torque and towing, not top end horsepower. Great for launches or towing, not so much for top end speed.
Hey VTUNED I hope when you boxed in the top part of the rail that you Welded the the subframe bolts in because if you need to loosen the bolts from the bottom will spin and you can get the kframe out 👍👍🤙🤙👍🤙🤙👍👍🤙👌👌
Steel corroding indoors like that in just a few days indicate a way too high humidity. Get a dehumidifier for the shop and set it to dehumidify to 50% relative humidity or lower and the steel will stay rust free. I would also get an RH meter so you can observe the relative humidity in the shop. Over 50% RH, steel will start to rust and over 80% RH, very quickly.
Did you actually have that block down on the mounts? If it needs to go down further I'm thinking those headers will come down below the rails and be alright.
If you don't want to powdercoat the subframe, just paint it with Steel-It, it will look really good with that! Also, try to get it supercharged and give the Goonzquad Camaro a run for it's money! 😁
It's a good idea you have boxed that spot yet you have two bolt's siting I there meaning if you want to remove them is going to be a problem or if your Don't pinch weld them when you want to remove the subframe they just start spining
Man your making great progress. Go Ben Go. Mark is nailing the camera and tunes also! You two are doing great things. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and be well.
The perfect comment doesn't exis----
Great compliment, great comment....allows me to just shut up and watch ... simply saying "what he said"...good job by you Dave K.
W@hat are you...THREE?
How do you plan to access the hardware inside the frame area you just boxed in if down the road you need to drop that cross member?
Exactly!
He said he would remove it to paint it but now it’s boxed in .
That's what I was thinking too... Had he welded the nuts in it wouldn't be as much of a problem but if he wants to drop that cross member he'd have to cut that open! 🤔
He should have tacked the bolts down
Yup, I was about to say, great to see him following good advice. Then he goes and adds something unnecessary and silly like that as if there is no plan.
That was my thought as soon as I saw him doing that.
So glad you have a partner on board helping you with this that is doing the same thing with other builds. Seems like he has worked out all the issue and had parts available. Get yourself a tig welder and practice up . When you get proficient your can leave the welds not ground and they look beautiful !
That motor looks “HUGE”! In that front end of the Stang ! Things is gonna get tight in there . Turbo’s , headers, radiator, overflow, battery? , the whole motor and Tran’s will probably go back 10-12” inches ? 🤔

It's great that all the guys at the old workshop are always so helpful, I know some are family but it is lovely to see.
When welding, never stop at a corner. It creates a weak point. Just wrap it around the corner about a quarter inch or more.
Spoken like true welder.
Outstanding job Vtune! This Mustang is moving along really quick! I am really looking forward to the next video!
Ben great work, it would be great to see all the brothers working together on projects. You guys are an awesome team and each has value to share.
This is totally my opinion, but I'm thinking Pops is having scheduling and space problems with balancing all the "outside" activity with the needs of his body and fender shop- his breadwinner, if you will. The nicest thing with this build is the things you have learn from the other Mustang build, and this will be a awsome car when its finish :)
This build is moving along nicely! That front kit looks solid!
I can’t wait to see the end result and it running
rock and roll on the mustang things are looking great v tune is back at it that mustang will be done before you know it great video guys, thanks to your dad for free storage and also your brothers for help loading up, everybody working together.

That’s going to be a beast of a Mustang once it’s done!! Keep up the good work from one TH-camr to another!!🔥🔥👍👍
th-cam.com/video/zXR-Hoo2tZUt/w-d-xo.htmljui
Going to be an awesome build. Thanks Ben for sharing your video 📹
Of course it’ll fit dude! 💪🏼 u got this
*The engine is already being prepped and test fitted what amazing progress*
Cortex racing, didn’t know them, but look at those projects man!
Next time get some zinc based weld through primer. What you have sprayed will burn off.
This build looks great really digging how fast your getting the content out. Don't sell your cradle turn it into a coffee table for your office
I’m loving this build 😃 loving that Milwaukee grinder especially the size , I do a lot of art and craft some involving metal my hands aren’t as good as they once were lol! Might look into that 😃
I am so excited on how fast and easy you make this look.
you just boxed in the nuts for the lower cross member, grab the drill 😂
That engine is hugeeee.wonder where the rest of the stuff is gonna fit lol
th-cam.com/video/zXR-Hoo2tZUf/w-d-xo.htmlfdry
Loving the progress! But just a quick question, the nuts for the subframe bolts - are they captive? Would it have been worth throwing a couple tacks on before boxing in the mount? Would save headache if the subframe had to come off for any reason
Finally
Some serious episode
Thanks a lot guys!!!
Love ya'll

This channel is lacking nothing. Excellent work.

Your workshop is coming together. I got a huge grin on my face.
If you do twin turbos you can reverse the headers and top mount the turbos.. Then you just run your exaust back... Otherwise youll have a hell of a time with a steering column by the looks of it
Just a tip, if you want a Ford control pack for the Coyote you better order it now lol. They’ve been back ordered forever
So the bolts in the pocket you boxed in you did weld the heads in right so that you can get the subframe unbolted.
It's gonna be an awesome ride when you're done for sure! 😛👍You really need to get that lift going though so you can work 100 times easier on that thing! 😁
The lift is working ?? The bmw is sitting on it with its wheels off
@@jayboys43 lol, so it is! How the hell Could I miss that? 😂 I need new glasses I think! 😁
@@RobertForslund He actually said that it was working in the last episode.
@@csorrows totally missed that too apparently... I really need to have my head checked, lol! 😄
She's coming along, doing it right this time
Oh man I'm so excited for this build loving ❤️ this
Glad you are planning on mounting the coilovers on the outside of the frame rails. It would just clutter up the engine bay near the motor.
Nice progress looking forward to seeing it go down the road again. Going to be a bit different seeing you cutting out the firewall to make it work. Curious to see that and what it looks like at the end!
8:54 getting value for money outta those disks 😂
Well, the Goonz guys are back in the chopper video business! 😂
Loving the progress; very happy to see that you welded the pinch under the bracket I was worried for a minute.
Good progress in the build of your mustang. The engine looks great as you mocked it up. Looking forward to your next video removing the firewall
VTuned and coffee....what a way to start my Friday!
Glad to see that motor in there for mock up, tranny bell is pretty small compared to a 350 or 700r4, it might clear. Issue may be the driveshaft, too short or long- isn't this custom stuff fun!
nice job ! It's awesome to see you go through this whole process.
Love your videos, man ... Keep'em commin'
Doesn't matter if water got in the headers, moisture always does! And mice as well! Need to plug all openings if storing engines
You do with a nice miller to clean up plates and bevel them 😎
The project is getting along really well. I truly liked the video and your work here, Ben. Can’t wait for the next video 👍👍👍😀
The 'long-tube headers' he had laying out for example should be in your next shipment so you can build around them too. There's no room for turbos, and a blower will sound so bada$$ rolling down the roads anyway.
It's looking awesome VTUNED the motor in place, awesome video...guys 👌
I would do in the fender well headers with side pipes that would be sick and pull the heat from the engine and floor
All I want to say Ben, is "Be careful with your BACK!"
Weld through primer works great
Glad you have sobered up and making video on a regular bases
How do you access the bolts inside the mounts that you boxed in?
Before anybody else comments about the bolts, he said in another comment that he welded the nuts in. That way he can drop the cross member if needed.
Imagine whacking the spare mclaren chassis on the mustang cradle or something, love these videos and the mustang!
Nice to see that you are priming and waxing that boxed frame pieces. This proves quality job.
Are you also planning on introducing more structural spot wields? I hope that's how it's called. I once heard the more welds you have on your car, the stronger the frame gets and can take more stress on said welded pieces. Correct me if I'm wrong though :)
Did you tack the nuts on the inside of the box before you welded the caps on ?
What about the other parts from the old 5.0 ? The rear end and complete drivetrain looks like its all still at your dads shop??? Love the new build and look foward to all that you are doing to it bro !!! Cheers its 12 in UpState NY !!! lol
This thing is gonna be sick with a wider stance.
crazy to see that entire old frame. you did some awesome work on that.s ucks it burnt you out but glad to see you fully back at it
Getting your own shop was the right move mate
What about the rear end from the fastback build can that be used ??
did you weld the chassis up when you cut the flanges off to fit the rear engine mounts
Did you captivate those nuts before you welded the top plate on the bracket ? It would allow you to remove the cross member.
Looks to me like he has plenty of "nuts" watching, and we're all captivated. LOL.
He did

Dang son this is awesome work!
what a job, here in brazil we used to say “muito brabo”
Great video. Bunch of car guys having fun. Let’s get it right this time OK .
Hey VTUNED I hope when you boxed in the top part of the rail that you Welded the the subframe bolts in because if you need to loosen the bolts from the bottom will spin and you can get the kframe out 👍👍🤙🤙👍🤙🤙👍👍🤙👌👌
This is gonna be a beast!
Any man who owns a grinder never has a bad weld!
That’s coming out really good 👍
I love your videos man keep it up! And this car is gonna be insane
Enjoying every build in the new shop nice job. God 🙌
Keep going man Always looking forward ⏩ to vtuned builds 🚗 I will support from india
Does boxing in those weld points prevent access to removing/installing the front subframe though?
I sure hope this Mustang gets completed!
It's quite the engine,it'll b a very snug fit!Always look forward to the vlogs, especially on a Friday. Great way to kick start the weekend.👌👍👍👍💪👊💪
You need a new roof and interior so u should convert to fast back
Here I was hoping you'd use most of the old handmade frame to drop the McLaren tub on for a dunebuggy.
Yes you should’ve put the modern 2.3 L turbo four-cylinder engine in there
It's been ground down, not grinded down. Ground is the past tense of grind.
I notice Goonzquad and a lot of US TH-cam car channels say that. Good to see it isn't just me that thinks that way.
Steel corroding indoors like that in just a few days indicate a way too high humidity. After watching you rebuild the McLaren
I think you’ve got this covered👍🏽
Great video car is looking mint.. Love watching the car come together
The other Mustang the frame you was building look like a Mad Max War Machine as much steel was on it
