Not the window, the windows are made out of clear sapphire (or something like that), so it's very strong, and completely bulletproof when looking at small arms up to I think .50 cal (which packs more punch than a balista). The intake I agree though.

If you do the math you will realise how heavy bolts or javelin shot by ballistas are really good at going through bullet proof vest or glass. Not so much against metal as it deforms instead of crack.
Kinda pointless though because they’re not fighting enemies that use guns. Maybe there might be an archer that might shoot an arrow towards them but considering how much airflow a chopper makes, I highly doubt it would actually reach the intended target.

At 3:18 I half expected the bandits to pop like bloody water balloons, or just slump to the floor with huge holes in their backs(exit wounds) with the cannon rounds just zipping through them so fast it has barely enough time to impart its kinetic energy into the bodies. But the rounds just sending them flying was hilarious, loved the scene.

I love this show because I’m in the military as an airborne recon infantry and ranger qualified and I can relate to this guy so much. Everything about this show is basically on point military wise. From airborne operations to weapons systems 👌🏽

And now please think about the fact that almost every single weapon(including the tanks, planes etc.) the JSDF uses on the other side of the gate is not actually the most modern thing they have, but surplus gear that was either gathering dust in storage or used in the reserve forces. Heck, there are even some WW2 era Willy's Jeeps! ^^

Ride of the Valkyries is playing. every gamer: I thing I hear boss music. Every anime fan: you know it is going to be a extremely short battle when you hear this.
I remember the first time I watched this at 3am while getting drunk with friends. Before the music start with started to sang and then the music started and we were like: no way dude! They did it! XD
When your ally in Civ comes to your aid when you and your enemy are still at the medieval era.
This scene when I watched back then made me smile for the entire episode and I thing until today
At 3:18 I half expected the bandits to pop like bloody water balloons, or just slump to the floor with huge holes in their backs(exit wounds) with the cannon rounds just zipping through them so fast it has barely enough time to impart its kinetic energy into the bodies. But the rounds just sending them flying was hilarious, loved the scene.
Hey now, they had (wishfully thought) protective shields to cover themselves with! I'm sure that just made the situation much, much worse though, as now the projectiles had something to slow them down just that little bit more so they could impart their energy better into the NEXT thing they burrowed into

In an earlier scene in the anime, they are posted on the walls of the fort and the JSDF are asked if they need Pyre's lit (for visability at night) and they reply "No, we are fine in the dark" and pull out NVG's, it's a great Anime btw, I don't care if it's a JSDF Recruitment Anime, I liked Top Gun and that was a Navy Recruitment Movie, I like what i like not judge who made it or why it was made.
The battery consumption would be awful, but it certainly beats being completely illuminated/silhouetted by the pyres
