For some fans, their club is the most important thing in their life, which would make it a nightmare to actually influence your clubs results in a negative way. But, that is exactly what happened to Bordeaux in the second division of France. A giant of the French leagues that was denied a chance a promotion because of fan actions.
I won’t repeat the video for you here but I’m sure you’re curious. The curiosity must be absolutely driving you crazy. Or maybe, you’re only mildly interested, in which case I may tell you that the guy who caused all of these problems was not actually from Bordeaux and ended up hurting his hometown club as well as his adopted club in the process. Call that a two-for-one!
    Much Love,
    The Zealand

@@epicdjyoshi648Sochaux was very badly managed since Peugeot sold it in 2014, they have spent much more money than the average for the second division just to try to get promoted this year, but the bad environment made them go down from battle for 2nd place to mid-table in a month... Now they have huge debts, are likely going to bankrupt and are so very likely confirmed to be at least relegated down one division, which means Annecy is very likely still in second division next year.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. Brazilian Series B, 2006 season. Grêmio vs Náutico faced each other in the last round of a group of 4. Grêmio had 4 sent off, was close to losing by insufficient number of players because of a questionable penalty which led to a mess that literally lasted the entire second half, the Grêmio goalkeeper saved it and two shots later, Grêmio scored the goal that would give him access back to Série A.Magic made by a boy that Manchester United and Porto fans know as Anderson.
Interesting detail: The other game was on the same day, in the same city, at the same time, about 10 kilometers apart. All four involved (Grêmio, Náutico, Portuguesa and Santa Cruz) had a chance of being promoted. Only Portuguesa had no chance of being champion.

Not yet actually. First Sochaux made appeal to the decision and are selling players to improve their finances so they are likely to remain in Ligue 2. Plus with the translation from 20 to 18 teams in Ligue 2 next year, if a club is relegated for administrive reasons, no club from below will be brought up but instead Ligue 2 will play with 19 teams and have 3 relegation places instead of 4. Thank you Zealand for the video. As a french L2 writer, i want to add something : the rules of both professionnal divisions in France says that the last 2 games of the season cannot be replayed if they are abandonned. If Bordeaux succeeded to replay, it would've been the first time in the history of both L2 and L1. Annecy also can't be saved because the rules added in 2021 says that any team can be saved until 2025, after the leagues reduction into 18 teams . So they soon have to prepare to play in the 3rd division again, one year after their promotion

I'll preface this by saying that I am a Bordeaux fan and ultra so I might be biased.
To me, the decision of the ligue is not good, but not for Bordeaux. What seems unfair to me is that the one getting punished is Annecy and not Bordeaux. Let's be honest, we were not going to ligue 1 because of that goal from Rodez, so we were not affected, but Bordeaux could have tried to win, and in the process, relegating Rodez.
What seems fair to me would have been to replay the game, because we can't continue a game from the moment it was stopped, it's a dumb rule but okay, and removing a ponit for Bordeaux so that they wouldn't be able to go to ligue 1, but not affecting Annecy in the process. What seems unfair also to a lot of fans is the fact that Bordeaux is made an exemple of despite the fact that other violent actions took place this year or the previous ones and the teams did not get hit as hard.
Lastly, the whole thing looks weird from a fan perspective. The guy from Rodez is said to have had a concussion, but certain sources during the game are saying that he went to the hospital, but other later sources state that the protocol concussion was not respected and the guy went back in the bus with his team and not to the hospital, so it reasly looks like a team trying to stay in ligue 2 without playing it on the field and a player "faking it". Then again, Bordeaux fan, might not be the most objective person out here, would be curious to here other people's opinion on it!

And it is not Bordeaux, the club whose supporter has cost the rise that screams the most, but Annecy, the club that is relegated by the maintenance of Rodez.
But it's surreal: the club has decided to file a complaint for "corruption" believing that the decision to give victory on the green carpet to Rodez is a punishment for them, and the leaders of the club have self-declared "maintained in Ligue 2" after the administrative relegation of Sochaux to National 1, even though Sochaux appealed and anyway, the statutes of Ligue 2 provide that no team will be drafted, even if another is liquidated (since the Ligue 2 will soon go from 20 to 18 clubs anyway)

I know a lot of people might think that concussions are not a big deal, they happen every day, and athletes need to be prepared to deal with that kind of risk.
Even seemingly simple-looking concussions, that are the result of low speed and little force, can have life-altering consequences and can even be fatal. Look up Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson's death, if you don't believe me.

      @@furaxas6282 I don't like it either, that's the rule
of course, if a team is winning 1-0 and purposely causes the game to be stopped they'll probably be given a loss by the FA

all of this is regarding the referee's report. my bad on that
the rule I'm speaking of is that the ref must give the result at the time as final to the FA. from then on, it depends

Now hearing about this situation today, I'd like to bring up that Annecy did manage to survive and be spared from relegation due to Sochaux collapsing financially. FCSM were relegated instead of Annecy due to this.
Currently, after 19 Ligue 2 games, Rodez are actually *above* Bordeaux, Bordeaux are struggling in 13th, and Annecy are in the relegation zone in 17th.
Looks like that fan might still lose some more even after Annecy's sparing.

Here there are still debates on if Buades was really injured or not. And Annecy is on a crusade against Rodez, Buades, and the LFP. Even stating that Ligue 2 should be played Ith 21 teams next season. Or that Sochaux financial issues should get them relegated in third division and Annecy saved in second division

I've played FM since 2019, after promoting Wealdstone FC all the way to sky bet 2 in 5 years, Bordeaux took an interest in me and gave me a chance to be the hc.... I gave them a promotion and Europa league qualification in 4 years before I left for Lazio. The time I had in Bordeaux was amazing since this was my first ever fm save, I managed to brought old benzema to the club until he retired there. Remi Oudin, Yacine Adli, and Laurent K..... it saddened me to see Bordeaux fell like this.

Not sure about your title… I mean Bordeaux was so down in goal difference by that point even if they won. I’m slightly confused on why they stopped the game though. Like were they worried about a riot of what? What rule is there that if some guy pushes a player the game is over? And the ref implied that it was the players concussion that was the deciding factor? Like if he wasn’t concussed they would have kept playing?

Zealand explained it quite well in the video - getting shoved when you have no reason to expect getting shoved will throw you off balance. And when you got a team mate hugging you, bracing for impact is another issue.
But ultimately, it's not about the injury, nor about the fan. If a team can't guarantee safety on the field, they have no leg to stand on with any appeal.

    • @ajax2.087
      @ajax2.087 ปีที่แล้ว
