    can i apply the scale factors if i do static analysis for the structure???

    Sir, maybe can display on Tutorial how to apply Fpx and Fpy in detail to get Axial force in Collector Beam and Slab to design diapframhn and Chord.

    Sir, with this scale factor n new load combination we need to design the columns at the 1st level only or column in the entire building (all column in every storey)?

    Sir, While performing NLDTHA taking multiple earthquakes(around 7), is it necessary to scale up the base shear due to earthquakes and equal all of them?

    Hi
    I have one query
    You are considering the response reduction factor as 4 for ductile structural wall but taking the design consideration of dual system in analysis , In IS code (note 3) it is clearly mentioned for zone 3,4,5 R = 5 shall be considered
    Please explain
    Thanks

    Hi! If during my initial checking of base shear for col and wall, I found out that the column is already carrying 26% of the total base shear, should i continue with the process or just proceed with the design of the frames and walls without scaling?

      In that case no required as u already achieved the required criteria

    do we need to do same process for lift wall system building?

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  ปีที่แล้ว

      If u consider ur walls of lift shaft to resist lateral force then yes

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how what u consider and accordingly u design

    Sir, how to model walls like that? Is it a manual process or automatically divided walls? Should I draw wall by parts and then provide supports?

    • @ilustraca

      Walls divided manually using Edit Shell

      What is the difference between manual mesh and auto mesh and what are the changes we can expect from the model

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  ปีที่แล้ว

      If u devide the wall wd Automesh option, it will be divided both horizontal and longitudinal direction... now if u see, the load transfer point is only available at floor levels and there is no intermediate point where load transfer to wall is happening hence no mesh required. To match the mesh size of slab/floor we divided wall longitudinally wd a max size of the same that we have provided for slab/floor.

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is nothing wrong if u mesh automatically...in that case the analysis time will be increased unnecessarily... again at bottom of wall the reactions will be shown only at 2 end points if not meshed manually that will lead to a conservative transfer of load in foundation

    What about wall design combination? should we reduce to 75% or design for the older combination ??

    • @ilustraca

      Which reduction u r talking about?

      @@ilustraca you have scaled the column design for 25%, but what about the wall , will it remain same or scale to take only 75% shear? Plz tell us how the load combination for wall too?

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Walls will be designed for whatever force we r getting at beginning for normal load combinations without any scaling of forces.
