As a GD player myself, I gotta admit I was also surprised seeing that they added Deadlocked. Although thanks to JSAB, the game introduced me to this particular song by MDK (and Sterrezo) Ive never heard of nor listened to. New favorite song right there
Just my opinions Creatures OV Deception: Probably my favorite of the 5, really fast paced and energetic and a blast visually Deadlocked: Song is nice but the level seems kinda rushed and boring, it's reusing the same 2 or 3 obstacles throughout the whole level Granite: Pretty nice, nothing too amazing to set it apart but overall very solid with nice sync Lightspeed: I like that one almost as much as COVD, visually really awesome and well synced and I like the idea of these four spikeballs basically being the enemy here Katana Blaster: Similar to Deadlocked, it's reusing a lot of stuff throughout the level, but they use that reused stuff in more different ways so I can live with this way better than with Deadlocked
My opinions on these levels and my ranking for them: *Creatures ov Deception* (#8) - Incredible song and awesome gameplay. Playing it tho will be a nightmare *Deadlocked* (#10) - Just like what others say, yes this is underwhelming most likely because of what we've seen. In PA, it's Expert+ and its a GD Demon. But looking at it without it's hard level brethren, it's really good. I will also forever stand by my statement that this is the most fun level in the game and is the most fun version of Deadlocked despite the fact that it will never be as good as GD’s Deadlocked. *Granite* (#24) - This and Katana Blaster are my least favorite of the 5. They feel like much better versions of legacy. I’ve never been the biggest fan of slow paced levels unless there is a really fast part somewhere but this level does have creative visuals and has great ways to sync with its song. *Katana Blaster* (#20) - Same as Granite. I slightly like this one’s song more though. *Lightspeed* (#2) - The best of the 5. It looks like a fireworks show and the song is incredible. It’s probably the best level that isn’t Final Boss.
