I love how varied the opinions are on which is the best level because it really goes to show how good ALL of them are - just in different ways. they all appeal to different people.
I love how Flowers of Antimony feels like how the actual Plague Kinght fight is, moving away form potion-throwing areas and standing near vats the getting away form them. Then you get to Specter Knight and are like "who is this"

I know the boss for La Danse Macabre is supposed to be some sort of flame, but I can’t stop thinking that the fire lapping at the tip of its head is some sort of small tail
1:35 strike the earth, I might just strike a purchase with that fan of shovels going out. It's ingenious how creative this is. Edit: you can't unlock these songs without 1200-1800 beat points, only for good players. The casual mode is a bit insulting as it won't let me unlock strike the earth (which should've been unlocked out the gate as shovel knight is on the cover rather than reach 1200 beat points), but a fun game. I did play flowers of antimony and it kicked my ass from a random playthrough of the songs, which can take a while to get what you want and you can't reselect without quitting the chosen song.
I think the boss in La Danse Macabre is the JSAB version of Specter Knight because of the little tip, resembling the tip of Specter Knights hood, and the fact that he can use scythes, which is Specter Knight's thing since he is technically a ghost. So, you can basically say he is technically a ghost, but he is also literally JSAB Specter Knight.
shovel knight holds a good place in my mind, my favorite game in my childhood, and i'm sad to see that yacht club games are done with it, but somehow it got recognized and now JSAB added it?
