Reliving The War takes an in-depth look at the WWF vs WCW "Monday Night War" era of pro wrestling. Week by week every episode of Raw and Nitro gets covered (including every match and every promo) to find out which show was really the best.
It’s the Monday after WCW Fall Brawl and DDP is going to get a title shot against Goldberg at Halloween Havoc. The Warrior continues his tirade aimed at nWo Hollywood, Billy Kidman takes on Juventud Guerrera in a cruiserweight match, and history gets made when fans witness the Return of the 4 Horsemen.
WWF Raw returns to Monday night after their Saturday shows. This week Mr. McMahon tries to stack the odds against Stone Cold Steve Austin (again), plus we have some excellent matches lined up including The Rock vs Kane and Undertaker vs Mankind.

Two things that I wished Ryan would've done... If he made 2 videos, 1 that got into detail on When Owen dropped Austin on his head & 1 that chronicled Bischoff firing Waltman
The "shut up" segment with Road Dogg and Bret Hart gets me every time. When that Corneria theme hit, I was conflicted. I wanted to jam out, but I also couldn't stop laughing. Good stuff!

I never cared for Alex wright back in the day but since I've been watching reliving the war, he's one of my favorites I absolutely agree with you. Somebody should definitely hire this man to wrestle today that would be really awesome to see
I can't believe we all overlooked him back in the day.
Reliving the War has done more to get Alex Wright "over" with the fans than WCW did in Alex's whole career....

This is one of the most memorable nights of the Monday Night War. While I'm very much in the camp "if you seen one Ric Flair match, you've seen them all," the man is a legend, and I got chills rewatching this.
Of course WCW botched the momentum, cause, WCW. But this nitro was a bright night for WCW
The Flair part and how you let this play out is why we love you and this channel.
Billy Kidman vs Juventud Guerrera was really a highlight in 98-99. They had tremendous chemistry and really brought out the best in each other.
Same with DDP and Sting
Man that Horsemen segment was tremendous, chills everywhere.
Normally, I feel like I can gather who won throughout the night but I was like damn, these two shows were loaded. Tie was the right result. I don't remember the other 16 ties, but this may be the highest quality of shows we've seen involved in a split decision.
The Kidman Cruiserweight Era has begun! Yes!!! I love Kidman! He was super underrated! WWE, give that man an HOF induction!
The entire cruiserweight division was underrated by those in power in WCW.
It is a little funny that one of his moves required that literally everyone try to power bomb him. Even people that never power bombed anyone.
That KIdman slingshot headscissor takedown was a sick move, I wasn't a Kidman fan back in the day but that's because i was a toolbox. He was always great i just had to mature to appreciate him.
I always thought Kidman was what a cruiserweight Bret Hart would be. He hit hard. He sold hard.

This is the episode of Reliving The War that I’ve been waiting for a long time, the Ric Flair “Fire me, I’m already Fired” promo episode.
This was another amazing episode of Reliving the War this series is the best part of the week great stuff as always.
After so many episodes of RTW, I cannot think of a single other memorable thing Road Dogg ever said on the microphone besides his entrance shtick.

As a kid I remember what made Goldberg popular to me was his entrance and entrance music along with how he destroyed everyone and only said “who’s next?!” In the hard camera. To a 10 year old that’s super badass

Kidman was one of my favorites as a kid. Very overlooked in the grand scheme of wrestling history . He helped usher in a new style for American wrestling. Also made it cool to be smaller.
Nobody ever called him small again after he started banging Torrie Wilson. That’s top shelf.

The retro game "Shut Up!" segments are honestly one of my favorite, and the best implemented IMO, segments in this series. It's one of the small touches, combined with your sense of humor, that makes every Thursday a joy, as well as existence in this tiring, overwhelming age of ours a little (though not insignificantly) more bearable.
I think-no, I KNOW-I can speak for everyone (or most of us, at least) when I say it's something quite special. So to you and your editor[s], I just want to say: thank you!
Maybe a simple 'TYVM' would have been enough; the TLDR I guess. But I used to have penpals, so writing in a long, perhaps overly verbose style, especially about people and things for whom, and which, I have strong feelings is kind of my thing.
So, forgive me! No one likes a Wall O' Text on the internet after all, lol.
Norman Smiley was very underrated and Billy Kidman gets overlooked too often.
My favorite part about that horsemen promo is Eric is just wearing his middle aged dad wear while being yelled at.
Even if it was rehearsed, every part of that was real
They weren’t going to throw down, but there was still some real life heat between Flair and Bischoff at this point. That tension was real.

And that is how you cut a promo... don't get me wrong the rock and stone cold could talk it........ but that flair promo all these years later still gives me chills just like the first time I saw it live...... the man... the myth.... the legend.... the nature boy...
I was in college at the time. Flair was my favorite wrestler since I was about 6. This night felt as real as wrestling ever had. It was emotional then and I think it makes even more sense to me today. Great episode. Love your work. Thank you!

Would love to see a Berlin/Wunderkind mixed gimmick for a return! Being all serious and stoic, breaking out the dance moves after spots or giving aggressive bratwurst thrusting towards the opponent as a taunt... then going back to playing it straight

The Horsemen reuniting was probably the last great, memorable moment for wcw until it ended.
Favorite channel, by far! I love forgetting it’s Thursday and then being oh-so-pleasantly surprised when I scroll the YT. Love the new intro as well!
An AEW crowd would definitely pop for the music and the Alex Wright dance if he showed up. A WWE crowd would be like, "Huh? Who's this?"
