Been a while since I’ve watched TMF and got to admit that this was a really informative video and not as over hyped as he used to be. Liking it.
I looked back in my younger years in high school and baggy was a thing back then and reflect on myself like “man what a clown I was back then”
I gotta say, I disagree with the jeans and hoodie points.
I like the cuffed look on my jeans and muscle hoodies are fire, especially with a denim jacket or usually a contrasting bomber jacket on top.
For Jeans and any type of pants the best look imo is to have a leg opening that matches the shoes. For bigger Sneakers and Shoes (like it has been trending the last few years) bigger leg openings look best. However, for a slim sneaker like Common Projects or classic Chelsea Boots (not the trendy ones with heavy soles) a slim leg opening still looks best.
All great advice. One note: a button down is a dress shirt that has button down collars. A button up is a dress shirt that has no buttons on the collar. What you were wearing in the video was a button up. Great vid!

When talking about trends Jose usually is really slow in adapting them. Oversized hoodies were already in trend when he still told us to wear slim clothing items. At the moment, high fahion brands already started to go back to slimmer silouettes, but the mainstream still wears oversized clothing. In a few years, everybody including Jose will go back to slim clothing. At the end of the day as you said it is all about marketing and selling stuff.
Moral of the story: Do not give a shit about what is supposed to be trendy and wear whatever makes you feel good. Fashion will always come and go and it is not worth the time and money to follow every trend. If you keep your wardrobe timeless, the environment will also thank you.

I think it depends on which shoes you are wearing. Chunky sneakers and bulky boots look awful with a slim leg opening. But if you wear a sneaker with a slim silouette like Common Projects or classic Chelsea boots (not the ones with bigger soles that are trending right now), a slim leg opening still looks really good IMO.

The baggy clothes fit ain't for everyone. I feel much more put together, my muscled pop more with fitted clothing.
Just 1+ year ago, we got videos on how we should fit slim pants/jeans etc, now they tell us that's wrong while they are the ones who are eating their own words.
Telling us to dress like astronauts with these baggy pants and these types of Orthopedic shoes like we have leg deformities or so, come on man we are not sheeps.
I understand the amount of money they get paid to advertise these types of fashion, everyone works for money, that's normal but please don't sell your soul...
A lot of awesome TH-camrs sell their soul, and from an amazing channel they become just an ad (advertisement), whoever pays them, they might even tell us to wear dresses one day. I used to enjoy this channel and still do, but regarding to this outfit trend and how we are dressing wrong because you told us that that's how we should 1+ year ago, that's betraying your userbase/viewers, there is ethics in business. other than that Respect.

Jose has gone full Tik Tok fashion trend to appeal to that audience. I've been following Jose for 5-6 years...from 2020 onwards he has been all about trends.

Honestly I don't think it's weird as long as your vehicle is in good shape like it's washed and waxed and the paint is flawless. Now if your vehicles isn't in the best of shape then that's kind of on you. I get that we all have daily and I know some daily their work truck to places where its mostly dirty and probably has a high chance of getting ding's and scuffs. You just have to find ways to always keep it looking brand new.

If you want a rational explanation: I think it comes from shoe and sneaker trends. For the last few years, chunky sneakers and boots with extra large soleplates have become trendy. For those shoes, small leg openings wouldn't look good.
However, for regular footwear like classic white sneakers, classic chelsea boots or dress shoes, smaller leg openings still look best IMO.
I guess it depends on what you prefer. For timeless, stylish clothing slim tapered jeans are still the way to go
