Hello Jeanne. So glad to see you back. Hope you vacation was great. I'm glad that you are doing this again for us. Hope my thread kit gets here before the official start, locally.
Did you do the two bug blocks? 😄 Thanks for this. It was very informative. Thankfully I was able to skip through the stitching! Why muslin?? Enquiring minds (me!) are very curious. I will be watching more. I’ve enquired of my dealer the cost of the (BL) hoop.
Muslin is great as a base when there's batting and background fabric that is stabilized with Shapeflex SF101. I like it because it feels softer and less plasticky and I think it presses out better than with no show mesh.
You can purchase the designs for the whole year, or you can get the free design for Cute as a bug. Here is the link: a1vacandsew.net/search?q=wallflower
Sorry. I just looked at the listing and there's nothing as to the weight. It's just what we carry in the store. I would call it medium weight. Not too light and not too heavy. It's just right. You could always try a yard from our store. Here's a link: a1vacandsew.net/products/90-muslin-natural-star-l1stm90-nat-sold-per-yard?_pos=2&_sid=fdf4840a9&_ss=r
Thank you for this tutorial. I was struggling to see how together started. Loved that you mentioned the batting. I’ll definitely subscribe to your channel.
If it’s raw edge the instructions say don’t put the 101 on because it might show the white through the decorative stitches🎉

I heard you say you are using muslin for the stabilizer. There are so many weight of muslin. Can you give a bit more info about that please.

Thanks for the info. I would love to come to your store, but I live in Canada 🇨🇦
What we use is a medium weight? Not too heavy and not too light. Just right.
Kimberbell should put the file where it's supposed to be instead of centering it.
