I’m so happy to see you and you’ve been greatly missed but I completely understand why you took time for yourself. I myself have been struggling with enjoying life and when I do I feel guilty because of all of the horrid things happening in the world. I guess we all need to give ourselves permission to experience joy sometimes.
Honestly, when everything is chaotic, surviving, let alone thriving can be a rebellious act. And in terms of things going wrong in the world, any advocacy in line with your values is good whether its educating yourself, sharing information, donating money to local and international groups, voting, calling/emailing representatives, protests, or even buying goods that benefit the communities affected. When everything feels like you have no control, you have more power than you think.
You have every right to take your time and heal and rest, if they are disappointed it is their own issue. You are still human and you have to give yourself your own time ❤ we will always appreciate what you give no matter how small, so long as you take care of yourself first. I had to say goodbye to my 15-year-old familiar "Fred" due to lung cancer on Oct. 19th. We loved celebrating Halloween and Christmas. So I am feeling very hurt and lost. So, I completely understand needing some time to grieve no matter what the circumstance is. I am so sorry you're going through a difficult time. I felt this in my soul. I've also been going through a difficult time for the past several months, and trying to simply be festive and excited about the things I normally get hyped up for has been a real struggle. My small home based business that I relaunched has been suffering as a result of my emotional and mental space. Because of this, I'm grateful I also have a regular 9-5 to keep me sustained financially. I say that to say this, sometimes we absolutely need to take a step back to take care of ourselves. We can't give what we don't have. Though we don't know each other personally, and I've never met you, I care about you. If people can hate others they don't know, I can love people I don't know. as (small) content creator myself I knew before you even shared anything in your ig stories that something is going on that you need to take time off videos. I suffer depression and winter is my worst period, so often around halloween and onwards my mental health starts take its grip and I need to take time off. I've tried to force myself make content in the past and that has just made me feel worse and not even like the content I make because I clearly I'm not enjoying it, so if anything I'm glad you took the time off when you needed as much would've been great seeing all that halloween content you were excited about. basically what I'm trying to say is you did right thing and you have the right to take time off, like people take time off work when they're sick, your health is more important than any videos and I know that if you had tried to force it, it would not have been that good (telling from experience). as (small) content creator myself I knew before you even shared anything in your ig stories that something is going on that you need to take time off videos. I suffer depression and winter is my worst period, so often around halloween and onwards my mental health starts take its grip and I need to take time off. I've tried to force myself make content in the past and that has just made me feel worse and not even like the content I make because I clearly I'm not enjoying it, so if anything I'm glad you took the time off when you needed as much would've been great seeing all that halloween content you were excited about. basically what I'm trying to say is you did right thing and you have the right to take time off, like people take time off work when they're sick, your health is more important than any videos and I know that if you had tried to force it, it would not have been that good (telling from experience). I come here for the content that shows your enjoyment and creativity so I totally understand if you need time off to feel better and make great content again. ps. looooooove this spooky tree hair decor 😍🖤 this is the perfect comeback!
