You must be new to Comedy Central. TV channels don't put full shows or clips on TH-cam because they think they are going to entice you into paying for cable to watch them. Because obviously, if your channel is pulling in tons of viewers, the network is going to give you more money and connections to do what you want.

Love Reggie Watts, but Greg works because hes good at the big domineering persona which Alex's timid confusions plays off of very well. Reggie is too nice, and the female contestants in particular seemed overly aggressive in trying to be funny. I'm not going to be the guy that a lot of people in the comments seem to be and say that American humor/comedians is/are bad because it's silly to use such broad statements. But the UK has a lot more panel-based comedy shows to draw on and stand ups seem to have more experience being collaborative and seem more happy to set each other up than some American comedians do.

I get the feeling Alex isnt in control of the tasks like he is in the uk version which is a shame as american producers interfering with the concept has provably doomed it to fail

I'm dismayed that, as if some transatlantic passing of an 'English gentleman' baton, they had Freddie 'I'll be a real Hugh Grant one day' Highmore in it.

ugh lisa is cringy. probably one reason the show didn't take off in the states...whoever thought of her for this clearly wanted to tank the show. I wouldn't have been able to watch a whole series with Lisa as a contestant. such a shame because this show is brilliant, but a little too smart for us americans

If I were them I would have just told them I was doing an experiment to see if I could order a thing without saying any of the ingredients needed and hope they would go along and help me out. That or actually say its a competition and I need their help.

Trust the Americans to ruin the most endeering part of a show with its simplistic nature by fucking with it and making it worse. It's classic American philosphy of "America does things better" and ultimately making things tacky as a result.

Such a bizarre choice of 1st season cast for the U.S. Taskmaster, I hope they try again and consider all the casting a lot more, feels thrown together

Why did the American version just do straight up duplicates of tasks that had already aired on the British original? Did they not trust themselves to come up with any ideas of their own?

It doesn’t work because the American comedians they get are not nearly as funny as the British comedians.

Am i the only who thought this show was kinda of shit. Loved the uk version but reggie just doesn't measure to greg's vibe. Also they just recycled tasks from the uk version.

It was a muddled attempt at being faithful to the original show and changing it. Both in all the wrong ways.
It did reuse UK tasks and they're his tasks so it makes sense but.....who thought Reggie should be the TM and not a contestant I'll never understand.
If it had gone on he might have said he was on loan by Greg and they'd find a new TA but it was too half baked for that.
