Excellent niveau global, rarissime.

Beside the plural of sentence (jumla => jumal) that hurt my ears all the time cos he said "jumlat" (it's ok I know), I truly feel his arabic pronunciation and phrasing were the best among all languages spoken here and it's quite impressive! He's doing great

    • @jambouh8575

I jumped straight to arabic just to evaluate what he calls speaking fluently and what I can say about his level in Arabic which probably reflects his actual capabilities in speaking foreign languages , is that he knows by heart few sentences, that kind of simplistic phrases that you find in language learning text books, anyone can do that in less than 2 month of practicing any language ( thus 5 years for 24 tongues) that’s not what fluency implies, you speak a language fluently only when you can improvise complex sentences with a relatively rich vocabulary with enough ability , and to understand the same kind of sentences.. I can say that you are fluent enough if you are able to understand jokes ( movies jokes, stand up comedies) song lyrics without focusing much, and modern poetry.

I have an Assimil book "Italiaans zonder moeite" but I don't know if my Italian will improve if I just listen to those dialogues once. Do I have to listen to them multiple times?

this guy's Japanese is very impressive. usually when you see polyglots on TH-cam throwing Japanese into the demo reel so to speak, they usually just spit out a few very simple beginner phrases with pretty poor pronunciation. this guy is using some grammar concepts like passive and causative conjugations and giving/receiving verbs that show he has a much deeper level of understanding of the language than most other polyglots.

Your Hindi is outstanding! You do have an accent and there were a few grammatical mistakes (one was quite funny - you kind of said - we should eat Indian restaurants - it should be Bharatiya restaurants mein khana chahiye), but I really appreciate it. You somehow remind me of my Hindi professor. :D Reading the comments below, I'm sure you did just as great with the others.

Your Finnish accent is actually surprisingly good. I'm in no way a polyglot (I only know Finnish, English and Swedish since those were the languages I was taught in school) and I don't feel like I can really comment on your accents, but I felt like you might appreciate a tip (if you can call it that, I'm sure you know it but I wanted to stress it anyway). When pronouncing Finnish, remember to always place the stress on the first syllable of the word. This is clearly something that non-native speakers seem to have trouble with, but actually you did admirably well, just a couple of errors. Also, your pronunciation of Ä and Ö is very good!
I find it weird that your Finnish accent is way better than your Swedish accent, at times your Swedish sounded a bit like how the Swedish-speaking Finnish people speak it. After all, Finnish seems to be way harder to learn than Swedish.
With all that said, I can only admire your talent and your passion for learning languages. It's not something I can find the patience and mental capacity for, but I'm truly fascinated by people who go through so much trouble and effort to understand foreign people and their cultures. Big ups!

Hello. I am a high school student and am currently fluent in French, Spanish, German, and eventually Korean from having learnt by myself. It is such a struggle to balance my preferable studies between my necessary classes. I often find myself frustrated, because I am left no time to attend to my interests. How have you been able to find this equilibrium? How many hours did you study a language(s) per day, despite the fact you commenced these studies later on in life? I really would appreciate any possible feedback or tips. Thanks.

Seja bem vindo sempre!

actually I just want to watch videos on youtube as a random viewer but I have to log in to say this to you. for me, as a native Vietnamese speaker, I myself feel so grateful that you've tried to learn this language (and I believe other Vietnamese people do too). it's an extremely difficult one and not very popular. some foreigners come from the US and Europe even don't know who we are (I mean we Vietnamese). anyway I'm accustomed to that because Vietnam is just a little country in the Asia and doesn't get so much attention.
your pronunciation still sounds strange (maybe because your tone is a little bit higher than us, anyway that's not the point xD), as a speaker without any teachers, your work is well done! i do appreciate your effort! you can find a partner to learn this hard language. don't worry because we Vietnamese always welcome foreigners to learn our mother tongue. it'll be easy for you to find a friend just to talk and correct your mistakes (via Skype maybe). I can also be that person lol.
the way you speaks all those languages is so impressive!! i'm learning languages too but it's so hard to do it w/o teachers. any tips for that? thank you for reading this far ^^

He said he didn't find a teacher to teach him Vietnamese and he must studied Vietnamese by himself. He hadn't had any Vietnamese language teacher so it's very hard to achieve high level in speaking Vietnamese. I worked with a French man in the past, he studied Vietnamese also but his pronunciation wasn't natural even he had worked in Vietnam for years.
I'm studying English only and I'm going to study French at the moment for my study of Computer Science master degree. I'll study Spanish also but not in the very near future. I'm going to be a polyglot. :)))
Most western language's pronunciation is hard for easterner and vice versa.

This is a very inspirational video of a polyglot. I can't even measure how much efforts you had put into all the languages you are capable of speaking. I'm from Korea and truly impressed by your Korean which is fairly good! Your grammar sounded perfect and for most of the parts, I understood what you spoke. If you can fix your accent more, that'd be excellent. But I admire your passion for languages and am looking forward to watching your another video sooner or later. If you can post a video about how to learn a language like sharing your know-how, that'd be a motivator for language learners. Please do it!
